[Open - Event Log] Christmas Log!

Where: The Great Hall & Respective Common rooms.
When: Saturday December 24th evening & Sunday December 25th morning
What: The Christmas Feast & Morning Present celebration!

[The house elves have been toiling away in the kitchens since early morning and by the sun goes down and the school bell strikes five there's already quite a large group of people gathered for the annual Christmas feast. With snow falling from the table, the feast begins with a crackle of festive lights that bound from table to table summoning food on to large golden and silver platters. Where to start you wonder? Maybe with turkey or ham? There's plenty of stuffing and mash potatoes to go around, just remember to top it all off with some of the delicious gravy and fresh cranberry sauce. No Christmas dinner wouldn't be complete with warm butter beer to wash it all down with. Teachers will find a few bottles labeled Delamain Christmas Cognac XO to indulge themselves with over dinner.
As usual the headmaster is suspiciously absent from the festivities, but at some point he must have been there as each place setting is a small green and red bag and a note that reads: Wishing you a Happy Christmas this season. - Albus Dumbledore. Inside this bag is quite the chocolate of magical sweets. Everything from chocolate frogs, pepper imps, licorice wands, fizzing whizbees, Bertie Bott's every flavour Beans, and the headmaster's personal favorite Lemon drops.]

[Morning comes eventually and those who wake after dawn will find the trees within their common rooms filled with gifts. Each one is carefully wrapped in color paper and labeled with names of practically every newcomer who has arrived in the halls of Hogwarts earlier this year. Some might discover their packages are bigger than others, but everyone will discover they have one gift from an unknown source waiting for them under the tree.]
( Mod Note: Christmas logs are going up early for you guys as I like many others will be super busy this weekend. Please remember it's not too late to your character a gift. This goes for all newcomers both new and old to the game. For those players who have no idea what their character would receive as a gift from home, they will find a brand new sweater awaiting them under the tree. As many might have guessed, those sweaters were made by none other than Mrs. Weasley and they all have the your character's first initial on their chest and are knitted in your character's house colors. Mod post coming soon, with a poll, AC check, and HMD! )
