[Not everyone is quite so clever with their sneaking. Then again, while Akako is no phantom thief, she does have experience sneaking around the police, so she manages well enough. Not that she often breaks the rules without good reason, but she was feeling a bit rebellious after her kidnapping and alteration of her magic. It made her feel better. Besides, she didn't like going to bed too early anyway.]

[At first she thought the armor was security. However, after four floors, that seemed unlikely. She would have seen one before now. So the question was, what was it? Curious, she decided to follow to watch it's behavior.]

[The suit doesn't seem to have a set patrolling path, it pauses at junctions in the many corridors, descend stairs, and pauses now and again as a human being might when a picture on the many walls catches his interest. Still it doesn't seem to notice the young girl that's moving through the halls behind him. Along the corridor that leads down towards the dungeons where the Slytherin and Hufflepuff dorms cam be found, it pauses again before turning back to check to see if anyone is around. It seems to pause longer this time than usual as it looks back, if it has taken notice it's hard to say.]

[It is quite weird. It's not like you expect to see a suit of armor exploring. Which really, what else could it be with that sort of movement? It couldn't just be one of the armors imbued in magic of the castle, they'd certainly know the castle if they were part of the magic.]

[She keeps following, thinking this over and really. A teacher wouldn't need to do this, would they? Perhaps they did it for fun, but that just made it MORE interesting. Was it possibly someone who arrived, with new magic, figuring out something that would be so advanced considering the distance needed?]

[When the armor paused, she decided it was interesting enough to risk detention.] Should you really be walking around like that, Mister Suit of Armor? [She's still around the corner, just hidden from sight, but she's curious to see how the armor might react.]

Who's there?

[He calls out as the voice breaks the silence of the hall. All along the corridor the moving pictures that hang on the wall begin to stir. Some complain, others mutter as they attempt to linger to sleep, and it is enough to make the suit of armor turn slightly and lift his hands apologetically.]

I'm sorry... we didn't mean to disturb you.

[The voice of the suit echos within the metal before it turns once more back to look down the hall. Taking a few more steps forward he whispers out again.]

You really shouldn't talk loudly. The pictures are trying to sleep you know.

[...okay, even for her, hearing a suit of armor apologize to paintings and looking so...meek is kind of surreal. Just a bit. And mostly because she didn't expect the voice and gestures to have so much personality to them. Still, the voice was young. Too young to be a teacher, and certainly wasn't just the average golem.]

[She stepped into view.] I'm surprised they could sleep through your footsteps, to be honest. [Though she does lower her voice.]

It's not like I can help making this much noise!

[He shouts in a whisper, apparently a little touchy over the fact that a thing of his size is loud and big. Flailing slightly, metal clinking together with every move he motions behind her as he begins to move.]

Someone like you shouldn't be out at this hour anyway. What if you're caught?

[And being an empty suit of armor certainly had it's advantages to sneaking around. No house colors to conveniently identify him.]

[Akako merely quirked an eyebrow at the outburst as she walked over calmly. She pulled out her wand.] That's what these are for, boyo. I'd suggest 'silencio' the next time you decide to take over a suit of armor. Though i can't be sure what that'll do to your voice, I haven't been able to practice it properly yet.

You really shouldn't scold people for a crime you have committed yourself. You'll be called a hypocrite.

[Magic was good and well, but he couldn't use magic in this form. The suit was merely a vessel for his soul and it couldn't cast a spell with or without a wand and the spell if cast would undoubtedly silence his voice as well.]

I didn't mean - !

[If a suit of armor could flinch, he hadn't meant it to come off as rudely as the girl took it. He was speaking purely out of concern, wave his big metal hands apologetically he nods his metal head just a little.]

Crime? What crime? I don't know what you're talking about.

[Alphonse Elric was a terrible lair.]

[Akako stopped a few feet away from him, watching the suit react. It was...surprisingly good for a golem spell. Usually the best that can be done still required precise control of the movements, but these were usually subconscious reactions.]

Well, you're certainly not a teacher. Why would a teacher bother with a single remote sentry? It'd need to be multiple for a big, clunky one to be worth it. Sneaking around is another story.

Though your choice of vessels is questionable.

The school is full of enchanted suits! I'm just a new one... helping to patrol the halls at night.

[Cue the nervous laughter and if a suit of armor could sweat surely he would be doing so right now.]

Questionable? I know it's not the best, but I make due with what is available!

[The nerves die away as his voice rises again, obviously he's a tad touchy about the comments about his choice in vessels.]

[Looks at him curiously.]

So you're an enchanted suit of armor who was given a choice of what vessel to use, and not a student who is using a spell. Instead of a student who has some sort of limitation on his golem spell, which makes far more sense, is that what you're saying?

[Just digging yourself deeper there, Al.]

[All he can do is sigh, he knows far too well how much a hole he's digging for himself. Edward was always better at explaining things and making excuses about him when he was like this.]

Well... to be honest... I'm not like this because of a spell. So yes!

[But to which part was he owning up to?]

.... [And then she's going to try and knock on the suit of armor. Just to be sure you weren't really that dumb and are a kid wearing the suit of armor.]

[He stands perfectly still as she comes close again and tap. Each sound echos out to confirm that the suit is indeed empty.]

Still empty.

If you're not a spell....then what are you?

[To show even more proof he lifts the armor's helm upwards allowing her a peak inside. It's dark and very much empty.]

Well, I suppose you could call me a visitor? I wander around for a few hours every night and explore. The castle's pretty big you know.
