(no subject)

Well we had some excitement last night. RAIN!!!!!!!! ok it did not last long but everything got a good soaking. Plus we really did enjoy the light show.
But as with all things back to triple digits. *sigh*
I have found an interesting book called Ming Shu the Art and practice of Chinese Astrology. It is rather complicated but interesting. Nearly as complicated as regular Astrology. I get frustrated then have to shut down for a bit to gather myself. then I take it on until I think I have figured it out. No not mastered it for I am short on patience. :)
I have other things that are making me crazy and those are even more complicated. I suppose for most people it would be an easy thing but I just require more time and practice.
I am going back to basics on my magical practice. I have stumbled on some similarities of thought on different traditions so that means I have to go back and compare...then I get a whole new appreciation on things. I have books on " the golden Dawn" I do not follow it but I am finding more uses for the general stuff. Then to find a book on Freemasonry that filled in a spot or two in different places means I have to rethink those things I thought I knew already. I have been told that I would be a good mason if they allowed women. Not on my list of aspirations I assure you. I do like some aspects of it however. An AHA moment comes when you did not have an answer to a question that suddenly pops up when you have moved on...That means you have compare to see where it fits. Confused? Yeah it gets that way when you are reading more than one book at a time.
Did I mention that I love to learn? I usually get more than one view on a subject I study. My wheel of the year looks about as complicated as you can get. I like to see where something fits. It is not personal one for me just a look at different view points. I have found some to argue with it. I don't care. To me the wheel is a look at life and life is complicated. My personal wheel is more abstract than complicated. *grin* I am big on symbolism rather than philosophy. Infact once on a dare I turned my philosophy into symbolisum and was able to explain it better that way. I am weird I know.
As soon as it gets cooler and let me tell you 90 at night is not cool enough. But I will get out and work on the altar area to incorporate some of what I see there. I have digital pictures that I will post once it gets cool enough to take the time to process them. I am limited by the heat. It is in the 80s in the office so I need to cut this short. Later then...*waving*
