Things I have returned from x_los's house with (in the two times I've been there):

•A book on Egyptian culture
•A book on Middle Egyptian
•Booze
•Almost a negative computer
•A novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
•A severely diminished respect for Sean Connery as a judge of good movies to star in
•A much increased respect for Sean Connery as a man*

*Seriously, the guts it must have taken for him to go out in the public eye and/or in front of a camera again after Zardoz. Wheeow.

Whatever the article says, nothing can compare to the movie itself. The article is tame and organized. The movie is like every acid trip ever, catalyzed by sexual frustration, built on T.S. Eliot and assorted related philosophies, realized by a team of 70's movie-makers, presented to you in glorious technicolor. And it ends with a chestbuster baby and a timelapse-Sean-Connery-aging-sequence. And a lot of smashing/unsmashing/resmashing of vases.

Seriously, guys, there aren't enough drugs in the world for me to feel competent in relating the essence of Zardoz to you. LOOK AT SEAN CONNERY'S OUTFIT.

*omfg, *lol, stuff: videos, *omgwtf, stuff: links
