In lieu of doing anything constructive with my life, I would like to give you pictures of my phone.
We have an interesting relationship with our home phone line. Since we don't have Caller ID or anything of the sort, we really have no way to know who's calling. And since we both have cell phones, we never really get important calls on our home line. Nine times out of ten (if not more) it's telemarketers. I check the messages periodically--nine times out of ten, those are also telemarketers.
But the phone in our kitchen area is special. For one thing, it's oddly staticy all the time. For another, on occasion when we answer it... all there is is static. No people trying to sell us things, no one asking for our opinions in a survey, just... static.
So we named it Pyramid Head.
On occasion the phone will ring and one of us will toss a casual "Shut up, Pyramid Head!" over our shoulders before going about our day.
Well... in our ongoing campaign to make our apartment a bit more... er. Personalized? ...my roomate made a little PH doodle and stuck it onto the phone. After that, I more or less knew what I had to do....
