Hoohah! I say!
Hey everyone! Bet you all thought I disappeared again, eh? Well...much to everyone's disappointment, I haven't. I really haven't been on LJ for a while. In fact the thought to post something hasn't crossed my mind for a while. But tonight I thought I'd stop in and drop everyone a line to let all my peoples know what's going on with me.
Life:
As far as my actual life is going...eh. It's good. Could be better, but then again it could be a LOT worse. I got a raise at work...GO ME!! I'm getting cable and high speed internet installed in the house tomorrow...Cartoon Network how blessed thou be! I finally broke down and ordered a Japanese PS2 so I can get a few Japanese-only released games. Transformers (all original Transformers...not the new ones) and of course Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I finally found the last figure I need to complete my Kingdom Hearts figure collection (Donald Duck in the regular outfit), I had to pay a PRETTY penny for it...but at least I have it. I'm going to the mall with my dear sweet Aunt Judy (Greatest Aunt in the whole world...wait...make that the universe. HAH! That little promo is worth at least 10 bucks! A little game we have...don't ask.). I'm looking to get some new clothes before I leave for vacation here in a few weeks, and hopefully sweet talk my birthday money out of her a few months early, so I can finally buy my Enigma coat. Jessi's been coming over with Jennifer a lot lately...it's been...interesting. In a fun way of course. ;-) Me and Goonie played golf a few weeks ago...we need to go back when I get the energy and when it's not freaking RAINING! Other than being a little tired lately (not really sure why) I've been doing pretty good.
And now...for something completely different.
KH News:
Well...E3 (a huge computer game expo show on the west coast) didn't provide much new info. Just a new trailer for CoM and KH2. The graphics for CoM are awesome for a GBA game. The FMV's are definitely PS2 quality. And as far as the new KH2 trailer...it didn't really show too awful much that could be considered note worthy material...but it did show the actual game play action. And Oh MY GOD!!! Talk about action. Sora's new moves are highly impressive. He can leap off of walls, flip around behind enemies and attack, target multiple enemies and hit almost all of them with a single move, knock enemies into the air then FOLLOW them upwards to lay down some good old fashioned ass kickin'. *shudders* If the gameplay isn't enough of indication of how much more effort they put into this game, the graphics should be. The differences may be subtle in some places...but noticable nonetheless. The facial expressions are better, the movement is quicker, sharper, and smoother. And the scene at the end of the trailer...hehe. Well...if you recall my last post, I mentioned that there's pictures of Sora and Co. charging head first into a small army (hundreds really) of Heartless...well....that picture is nothing compared to what's seen in the video. Then number of Heartless is almost ten to fifteen times as many as I originally thought. Impressive to say the least.
Hmmm...what else? There's a new issue of Gaming Monthly Review that has a Kingdom Hearts cover in celebration of the upcoming games. I still need to buy the issue, but I've already read a snippet of and interview with Nomura (the main guy over the project). In it he was asked if he saw Kingdom Hearts being anything like Final Fantasy, meaning if it was going to be an infinite series. Nomura said that Kingdom Hearts must and will have a definitive ending. It's storyline requires it, unlike the Final Fantasy series which aren't based upon one another. He doesn't know (or isn't telling) if it's going to end with 2, or 3, or even 4 or beyond. But it will eventually end. And he already has the "last scene" planned for grand finale...whenever that day comes. Which in my honest opinion doesn't have to happen any time soon. As long as live to see the ending...I'm happy. Which means they can make 10 more games for all I care...as long as I'm able to see how it all ends...I'm content.
