(no subject)
Hello.
It has been a long time...I know. Well I have had a lot going on with school and all.
Okay...well one reason I have been busy is because I made this years school musical like I did last year (Les Mis). This year I am in the school's musical "Throughly Modern Millie". I play a character named Ruth in it. I actually have lines this year and stuff!!! Yay!!! The musical if you don't know takes place in 1922...so the music is jazzy and the costumes are going to be just plain awesome. I love that era in time!!! I am loving my theater class...everyone in there is soooo nice and interesting.
Sinch I have been gone. I have gotten into the comedy group "Broken Lizard". They are hilarious and have done these films that I have seen..."Puddle Cruiser"," Super Troopers", "Club Dread" and "Beer Fest". " Beer Fest" was great...I love that movie!!! I love the German team a lot. The stereotypes are soooo funny. (lol) My favorite character was the man wore. Also "Super Troopers" was amazing...we watching all the special features. You have to watch the alternate ending. Its sort weird and really funny. All I am saying is that it takes place in a meat factory.
Finally saw "Capote". It was a really good film. Yeah...Hoffman sooo deserved the Oscar that he got, even though every else running last year was good too. The movie made me wanna find and read the book "In Cold Blood".
I can't wait till Halloween!!! I know it is more than a month away...but it is my favorite holiday and yes I love it even more than Christmas!!! I am crazy like that!!! I like dressing up and scaring people and getting scared and watching horror movies. Hopefully on TCM this year they will show lots of old classic horror movies!!! I am sooo going to be the Bride of Frankenstein this year!!!
Ohhhh!!!! I finally saw "Frankenstein" on Dvd. I got it from the library. I am going to watch all of them...probably tonight or today.
This movies star 3 really great horror people okay...so that is why they rock!!!
Dwight Frye...
He is such a cult actor. Hardly anyone who isn't a classic horror movie freak has even heard of him...he is aka Renfield in Dracula.
Colin Clive...the freaking creator!!! He is just crazy in these movies and I believe him that is how well of an actor he really is.
And of course freaking Boris Karloff. No one can forget him as Frankenstein's monster and he is one of the most well known people in horror movie history.
I have gotten more into Lon Chaney now too. Silent horror films are the bomb. Plus, he had the ideas for most of his makeup and actually cared about the physically of acting.
