Writer's Block: Under Protest
Right now I'm boycotting all the businesses that sprang up on the site of the old Goodnoe's restaurant in Newtown. Demolition of that venerable eating establishment commenced less than twenty-four hours after it closed for good. Driving past that plot every day on the way to and from work, I saw all the stages of the wreckage.
Why? Well, I was upset the restaurant closed, surely, but seeing the effects of ravenous developers' greed and eagerness to destroy an institution like Goodnoe's just hit me in the boycott part of the brain.
