Remember back in the day when rap wasn't shit and every MC was fucking legit?

I now have a Pinterest page (er, board, er, series of boards). I started it for work so I could do a social media workshop then fell in love. Link to my page: holla.

My fav board is where I am keeping track of the books I am reading this year. Displays quite well how many graphic novels I have been consuming instead of heavier material. Really wanted to get back into some classic literature, as displayed by the Pride and Predjudice but I slid right back into easier stuff.

The graphics are like brain candy. It's not that they aren't in depth or anything. Some of them do have a lot of substance. They are just easier to get through, faster by far, and have all dem purdy picketchurz.

So, my friends, I ask each of you to ask me to review one of the 78 (wowzers!) books I have read in the year of our Lord 2013. Because it will be fun. Then recommend something, if you so choose!

Going to see Of Montreal tomorrow night. They are some sort of psychedelic-type band. Keith has a CD of theirs with cool packaging. The theme of said album appears to be sexxy stuff. Hmm. I assume there will be bright colored lights and some jumping around. I used the YouTube to watch a video of them on the children's TV show, Yo Gabba Gabba! doing a song about foods to eat when you are sick.

What is up with that show? Can anyone please tell me any Yo Gabba Gabba experience they may have had? Without the cable TV and no young children in my everyday, I haven't really watched it. I have only seen the occasional music video on the internet. What I do find is a Tokyo rainbow of odd music and hipster-type trippy bands making cameos.

What is their demographic? Stoners and kids and stoner kids? If only I could consume substances!

I've just found a live Of Montreal video with the singer wearing glittery eye make up. Sold!

Saw a luna moth outside my mother's house the other day. It was pretty, with its little fur coat on. NEON GREEN. I think one of the big differences between butterflies and moths are the antenna. Moth's are fringey while the butterflies sport smooth head stalks. Probably also what they eat. Butterflies sip from flowers. What do moths consume? Do they really eat clothing?

I read somewhere that there used to be a common myth about going blind if rubbing the dust from moth wings in your eyes. Also learned that moths/butterflies don't die if you rub the color from their wings, though they may be more susceptible to death without their camouflage.

This research was the result of an episode of the Power Rangers. I can recall an incident where Angel Grove was being terrorized by moths. Dust fell from their wings and put people to sleep, leaving the town to the mercy of whatever Rita Repulsa (or Lord Zed, for all I can remember) had in store. Curious as to whether or not this stemmed from some Japanese myth I was not privvy to, I tried to discover the back story via good ol' internets. Didn't find an answer, but the other info was cool, anywho.

That Power Rangers episode was called "Itsty Bitsy Spider" if you desire to watch it.

There is also the whole Mothra thing. Surely the Japanese have some kinda moth myths floating around. In the event I ever have the internet again, I will have to continue this research.

I toldja not to feed that moth... whatever the hell after midnight!
