Maybe somebody from the society should fix things?

I sent her the link. If she stops shouting "bullshit!" long enough, she may try and set the record straight.

Have you read her Dracula: Sense and Nonsense? It puts the stake in the heart of the whole "Bram Stoker based Dracula on Vlad Tepes" argument for once and for all.

though, shhh, I know it's probably heresy but I enjoy connecting the two. IMO, it makes the character more interesting.

And she's absolutely fine with that if it's fiction. It's when scholars do it that drives her nuts. :) She's seen Stoker's notes (and, in fact, is editing them... man.) and knows precisely what Bram knew about Vlad--which is about five factoids, none of them deeply significant, and he didn't even know Vlad's first name or his alternative name of Tepes.

Tell her 'good luck'........ dracschick May 24 2006, 21:53:47 UTC
I hope she writes another book. I do so enjoy her work. *hides my Miller shrine*

She's working on the notes at the moment but I'm not 100% sure what sort of book is going to come out of them. Once I find out, I will let you know!
