Have you read her Dracula: Sense and Nonsense? It puts the stake in the heart of the whole "Bram Stoker based Dracula on Vlad Tepes" argument for once and for all.
And she's absolutely fine with that if it's fiction. It's when scholars do it that drives her nuts. :) She's seen Stoker's notes (and, in fact, is editing them... man.) and knows precisely what Bram knew about Vlad--which is about five factoids, none of them deeply significant, and he didn't even know Vlad's first name or his alternative name of Tepes.
