I realize I have not posted in over 2 months. I have changed jobs and do not have the time like I used to. I will be seeking to correct this. In the realm of firearms, I have purchased a Rossi M92 lever action rifle in 45 Colt with a 24″ barrel. It will be a fun rifle and an incentive to reload more. The BATFE has recently released a new study on the whether certain shotguns can be imported. The Gun Control Act of 1968 says that any firearm imported into the USA must have a “sporting purpose.” From reading this article, it appears that they will be going after any shotgun that has “bad” cosmetic features or that can accept an external magazine ( Read more... )

Dallas Police Arrest Two Adults In the Wake of Child’s Shotgun Death

Summary: An 8 year old was shot by an 11 year old with a shotgun he found. It turns out the 11 year old found the shotgun in a closet in his home.

The 11-year-old’s mother - Stacy Lee Maloney - is charged with making a firearm accessible to a child, a Class A misdemeanor.

It is coming up on a new year and I need to plan on some activities and goals for the new year.

1. Pay off (at a minimum) my credit card and Dell accounts. This should be very doable.

As I’ve gotten older, and have become a more experienced shooter, I’ve found that accuracy matters to me. What I mean by accuracy is that if everything is exactly the same, and the firearm is pointed at the exact same spot on a piece of paper, how close are the holes from multiple shots. I just found out that, if they exceed a certain percentage of your income, you can deduct hobby expenses. As most people know, I collect and shoot firearms. Unfortunately, I did not keep good enough tack last year to feel comfortable deducting the expenses. However, this year I will be keeping track now that I know this.
