Life is going along okay here in merry old England.
Cambridge is beautiful. King's College is of course really nice to look at but the park near me is a nice open green space too. When I walk to class each day, I walk across the river Cam and it's great. I get to see all the folks punting on the river too. It's cool. The architecture alternates between modern and gothic and ancient looking. It's really cool. Of course the gothic parts are the nicest.
It's also cold. And it's more north than philly so it's gotten colder faster too. It feels like Christmas season already and the shops beginning to sell Christmas don't disillusion me of that. But that's fine with me. I love Christmas time.
Still haven't gotten a bike though.
Classes and stuff are going pretty well too. Latin and the M.Phil. seminar and reading group are my only official classes but I'm also sitting in on about 7 undergrad courses but I don't have to do work them. I've decided to do the philosophy of religion seminar and it's pretty cool. It's got both philosophy and religion so I love it. I'm going to be writing my thesis on NeoPlatonism in comparison with Indian Monism so it's got both the philosophical aspect and the comparative religion aspect which is what i really came here to do. Unfortunately I couldn't extend it to include science. I mean, I'm going to have to narrow down my thesis topic anyway so trying to include science would just be ridiculously messy.
