Wow. Just, WOW, MA!

This entire thing was really beautifully written. There's something so true and evocative about your language here. It really packed a powerful emotional punch.

Your characterizations were amazing. I loved Harry here, his thoughts and feelings, how complex, how confused and sure he was in turns. I adored his relationship with Ginny and Draco both, how important they both were to Draco at different points in his life, for different things.

I thought the bees were super cool, and I really loved the image of Harry's little cottage. So cozy!

I really enjoyed seeing Harry and Draco come back together again after all these years. How something just settles into place between them, and how it just seems to work. And I liked that you can really feel the passage of time here, that Harry and Draco as adults feel very much like adults, compared to their younger summer selves.

Basically, I thought this was a really gorgeous, moving piece, and really fantastically executed. <3

Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that those things worked for you. I really enjoyed participating in this fest, and I'm now convinced the H/D corner of fandom is the nicest there is.

Fantastic job with the non-linear story telling. It works really well to show Harry's growth from not knowing what he wanted at all from his life in the past to being so sure in his convictions in the present. I really loved how even though it wasn't the right time for them to be together, you really showed how important that relationship was to Harry and how it influenced him. His relationships with his friends, including my beloved Blaise (!!!) were really beautiful.

Excellent work!

Oh my god, oh my god! I'm so happy! This story was so wonderful, so completely beautiful.

I love all these intense moments between them. Good god, that first kiss, when Harry feels the rest of the world fading and it's intense and hot and perfect.

It was strange, how far away the rest of the world felt, even though they were hardly hidden, in a dim alley in the middle of London. Harry tried to care that someone might walk by and see them. Might catch them, he and Draco Malfoy, two notorious wizards with their cocks out, kissing now like it was the only way to breathe, to stay alive.

So beautiful! And like that were so many that I loved. <333 ( ... )

Beautiful, MA!! Beautiful, tense, emotional, well-drawn, and full of lovely moments. Harry's reaction to the garden, his beekeeping, his interactions with Narcissa, the spell like running into a warm towel and its recurrence, the moment where Harry tried to remember what Draco's hands felt like (feels!!), and Blaise! Blaise was great, as were their conversations and how much they showed about how both of them had changed and, with that, how much other people/the world had likely changed with the world. And Draco, his guardedness that felt real and realistic, and how he was willing and able to give Harry the chance to explain, and how he'd had his own reasons for and role in their time apart. It gave their relationship a feeling of evenness and unfolding in parallel, which fuelled their reunion beautifully and it made it feel like a natural, almost inevitable evolution. And the way you built up the idea of time here was fab - Blaise's comments on it, Hermione's reaction to Harry making changes, the moving of houses, and most of all the ( ... )

Thank you SO MUCH for this really lovely comment. I read it again the other day for a pick-me-up. :) I really appreciate the thought you gave my story, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Also particularly glad to hear the non-linear storytelling worked for you. I think I was most worried about that.

Seriously, thank you!!
