I have a question. If we're going to suggest a fic to be podficced in the prompt post, do we need permission from the author? or does that come after when the fic is chosen by a podficcer?

No, you can suggest a story without first getting permission from the author. Only if someone choses the story for podficcing, they need to get permission. :)

I *think* this is a yes, but just so I'm super clear about the story I have in mind... is it alright to do a podifc that's definitely H/D slash, but in which there's zero mention of who tops or bottoms, past, present or future?
