Prompt:
Eighth year fic. Draco Malfoy is the only male eighth-year Slytherin to return to Hogwarts. He's also really subdued and doesn't cause any trouble or talk much.
Ron and Hermione just got together and they're all lovey-dovey and together all the time, so Harry rolls his eyes and finds a different partner for all his classes - he picks Draco, claiming he doesn't want to watch Ron and Hermione make googly eyes at each other (really it's because he thinks the kid needs some friends, but he doesn't say this - theme with the story!). Draco puts up a half-hearted argument, but basically lets Harry do what he wants (another theme with this story!). Harry then starts inviting himself down to Draco's dorm for study dates, because as he says, it's basically a private room and he wants private time away from all the fans and bother and shit. It also forces Draco to have human interaction but you know, Harry's not going to point that out.
Harry develops (or discovers?) a crush on Draco. Harry starts taking naps in Draco's bed, even though there are a ton of other empty beds in the dorm. He makes up some stupid reason for that too, maybe they're just bare mattresses. Harry demands Draco accompany him to Hogsmeade, so he can avoid Ron and Hermione/buy some fashionable clothes with Draco's advice, etc etc.
Draco makes half-hearted arguments to all these things, but basically let's Harry bully him into whatever he wants.
Harry and Draco now spend all their time together, and Draco's carrying Harry's bags around Hogsmeade/school, so people start to assume that Draco is the world's most whipped boyfriend, but he just rolls his eyes because obviously he and Harry aren't even really friends, let alone Harry ever seeing Draco that way. It's just that [insert Harry's latest ridiculous excuse].
Despite his Gryffindorish bullying ways, Harry is too shy to actually make a move on Draco and is getting increasingly frustrated that even though they spend all their time together and Draco does whatever Harry wants, Draco doesn't seem to be interested in making out. Draco is convinced he's not even worthy of friends, let alone Harry Potter as a boyfriend.
However, eventually they work things out and get together! Yay.
Special Request(s) (optional): I'm imagining a cute and fun, fluffy-angst fic. Harry is shorter and Draco is an awkwardly tall sasquatch. He would hunch, but he's too well-bred for that nonsense.
