Eureka ideas
So I have decided that as soon as I finish my Stargate fic (which now has little chibis of the characters to go with it) I'm going to try and come up with a Eureka fic. I have a few of ideas that would mostly be preslash ideas and really they're just two different versions of "Nathan realizes that Jack is also into guys and thus he can stop with the quiet seduction conversion and go for the fullblown seduction." things.
1. Jack has requested a few days off from work and Allison grants it. So while he's packing up some stuff the day he leaves (he's already in his suit and on his way out of town he just forgot something) Allison, Nathan and Jo are all in the sheriff's office for some reason or another. Anyway one of them finally asks where he's going and he's like "Oh my ex-boyfriend's commitment ceremony." Everybody else is like "WTF?!" Normally you'd think going to your ex-boyfriend's commitment ceremony would be a bad idea but Jack's the reason they got together and they're all still buddies so it's all good. Then he leaves and either the story ends there or Jack comes back and finds everybody acting weird.
2. Gay-ray! Yes I know it's been done but it still hasn't stopped being funny to me. Anyway same scenario of Jack leaving town only no revelation in the sheriff's office. No he comes back and finds Zoe making out on the couch with her friend, who is a girl. He freaks out but only cause now he's going to have to burn the couch. But there's a funny scene in my head where Jack gives them both this gay version of the talk which was basically "I realize you can't get married or pregnant like you are but I'm still putting a ban on the whole sex in the house thing! Don't do it here, don't let me know you're doing it elsewhere, and if I find out at all you're grounded on principle!" So anyway he's going around town seeing more samesex couples making out randomly and says "I'd better go to GD." So he goes and manages to find out where Stark is and when he gets there is confronted by Taggert! Who says he's been infected. The whole town is being affected by this pathogen that suddenly causes people to develop feelings for a member of the same sex and being absolutely relentless about getting them. The only people not affected are the people who were gay/bi to begin with. Taggart is there to make sure Fargo doesn't jump Stark while he's working. So he's like "sorry sheriff I have to keep you away from Stark for your own good. The way you two fight clearly the sexual frustration will become too much!" and Jack is like "you know if I could resist jumping Stark this long I think I can avoid it for another 10 minutes or so." Thus revealing to Taggert he is actually Bi and hey Vincent knew nobody else asked. So Tag brings him in and Stark is like all "WTF Man?" and Tag is like "Oh he's cool apparently he's been hot for you since he got here." and Jack is like "*facepalm*" and Nate is like "O Rly?" and somehow that totally degenerated.
3. There should be a three here but I got distracted by the manga "The Bride of the Water God" so I forgot what it was. I'll remember and type it up later. EDIT: I REMEMBER! Okay so Jack is running around trying to find a scanner. They don't have one at home because Zoe uses either the one at the school or the one at the Sheriff's office (Yeah yeah not proper use of resources but it gets the work done.) Unfortunately the one at his work is broken. So Carter is cursing at it trying to get it to work and finally has to give up and calls Henry to fix it. Nathan shows up while he's making the call. Apparently his car has broken down and now he needs a ride to GD and he knew that Jack has a meeting with Allison (Who is now head of Global) about something or another so he gets the ride from him. Nathan asks Jack what he needed the scanner for and Jack says he needs to scan some pictures. Nathan says he has a scanner in his lab that Jack can use and to come by after his meeting with Allison. Later Jack comes in to Nathan's lab carrying a box and Nathan sets up the scanner for him and says something like "So what embarrassing pictures of Zoe am I scanning?" "No they're not of Zoe. Abby (The Nameless wife has a name! Huzzah!) keeps all the pictures of Zoe and makes multiple copies for her Scrapbooks and in case there's a fire or something. These are of my ex-boyfriend." Nathan is sort of like "Srsly?" and you can see where this is going so I won't torment you. Jack explains that he died recently and his ex-bf mom called him asking for any pictures he might have of him. So Jack is scanning them in and e-mailing them to her. Nathan is like "Oh." and goes into thought overdrive cause now he can stop the slow conversion to liking boys/seduction to fullblown seduction that will be merciless. I would actually write this one if I thought I knew how Nathan would seduce somebody. Alternatively: Nathan shows up while Jack is cursing at the scanner and offers to fix it for him. So while Nathan is fixing they get talking and Nathan learns about dead ex-boyfriend. This is the "Oh" again. So Nathan fixes the scanner and Jack is all like "Sweet! Thanks." although he doesn't actually say Sweet. Nathan kind of gets a little embarrassed cause now he realizes Jack is up for grabs and then asks for a ride to GD. Jack is like "Oh yeah sure. I've got a meeting anyway." Nathan flirts Jack flirts back and I dunno as the day goes on Nathan is just about to either ask Jack on a date or lose his nerve then Jack suddenly says "You want to have dinner some time?" Then I would totally end the story there cause I'm evil like that.
Then I had another idea of a different type which freaks me out but actually has more legs to stand on storywise. Its a girl!Jack/Nathan story, which both freaks me out and is just made of awesome in my head. LIke okay so Jack still gets together with his wife who's name I've forgotten and since I've got it in my head that Zoe wasn't a plan but an accident they don't have a baby. Well Jack does actually but it's for another couple and she wanted to know if she'd be willing to go through with it if she ever wanted her own kids. It's a boy they name him Zack or something but then later on the guy who's actually his Bio dad dies and he becomes an angry moody teenager who lashes out at his other day by calling Jack mom.
Anyway a few years later the Nameless Wife decides she wants for them to have a baby but she doesn't want to be the one carrying. They end up in an argument because Jack doesn't want to go through all that again and also when she's pregnant she has to go on maternity and can't do her job really. Where as NW has a job that's better suited for pregnancy since she can make her own schedule and won't actually have to stop doing what she's doing cause she's pregnant. So the argument continues and NW wants Jack to quit her job cause it's so dangerous and Jack says no and they get separated. Nate meanwhile is separated from Allison and they're pretty much just waiting to either get back together or reach the limit and get the actual divorce. (If I remember correctly you have to be separated for a certain amount of time before you can actually get divorced) So he's off running around the country doing his thing and ends up meeting Jack in a bar. It takes them all of 2 minutes to get around to leaving for the sex. And yes what you're thinking does happen cause I'm lame and maybe a little cliche but I think its funny. Jack gets pregnant. Jack doesn't actually find out she's pregnant until she gets shot while escorting a convict. ( I should never have googled US Marshals.) NW, who hasn't been taken off as her emergency contact yet, is called and comes a running. The Doctor thinking they're still together tell her the baby is fine and that Jack will have to be careful for the next few weeks. So when Jack comes around and NW is all "You got pregnant. I forgive you lets raise the baby together." (sorry I kind of made her a bit mean but that is bizarrely how people can get when emotions are involved.) Jack freaks a little but says no because she's tired of living with a perfectionist, control freak (omg Jack has a type) and says that she'll keep the baby but she's not coming back to NW. Jack pretty much knows who the father is but all she has to go for him is "Nathan" and a few other tidbits he gave. She decides that if she sees him again she'll tell him if not she really doesn't care to look. (originally I thought to have her look but not find him but seriously Jack has some mad detective skills and could probably find him pretty easily if she wanted to)
Zack or whoever runs off (mimicking Zoe in the pilot) and basically the pilot happens only with preggers!Jack and few other alterations. So Jack becomes sheriff! Then goes to meet the Boss of GD and it kind of goes like this "And this is Nathan Stark." "Hi Nate." "Hi Jack." "Wtf you know each other?" Allison is a little pissy about that runs off cause he phone rings and Jack just tells Nate right there. "I'm pregnant and it's probably most definitely yours." and Nate is just like "O.O!!!!!" then Allison comes back and is like "Did you break Nathan?" Anyway there's a blood test to prove it (with nobody else knowing at the time) and then Nathan totally going overboard with the whole "I'm gonna be a dad thing" Jack throws a vase at him at some point. I actually think this could be a neat little series if I ever got around to writing it. Probably ending when the kid is born.
But there's one I really want to write down so I don't forget it. girl!Jack refuses to buy maternity clothes. Fights it tooth and nail and pretty much if she's not wearing the Sheriff's uniform is wearing some of Zach's dad's old clothes cause that's what she wore last time. But Nathan wants to take her to a party he has to attend and she has no dresses (this is also when he realizes she has no maternity clothes or even baby things for that matter) and so he drags her off to Eureka's Baby and Maternity store. It's actually really funny with Nathan picking stuff out for her and she's just going "No. No way. I'm leaving." and Nathan is like "You need cloths. I'm paying. Be feminine and shop!" With the whole store watching it and being like "don't worry this actually happens a lot." They do eventually get all the stuff they need and essentially promise to come back later for more. Really this is just really really funny in my head.
Then another one would be when Vincent finds out Nathan is the one who got Jack pregnant.. Jack wakes up in the middle of the night craving one of Vincent's burgers but knows he's closed and Sarah can't make it so she calls Nathan to distract herself. Nathan of course finds out what's wrong and calls Vincent saying it's an emergency and to get down to the diner immediately. So they meet up at the diner and Vincent is like "What's going on? What happened?" and Nathan is like "I need you to make a cheeseburger and milkshake." So Vincent finds out that Nathan is the one who got Jack pregnant, since he's running around getting her burgers. The same thing happens the next night and eventually Vincent and Jack come up with an agreement that whatever midnight craving she's having he'll get for her but at lunch she has to have one meal of his choice to make for her.
Another one would be when Nathan moves in with her. Her blood pressure gets to high/low and she faints. Sarah calls Nathan absolutely frantic and Nathan comes running taking her to the hospital. The hospital is like "Your blood pressure sucks." BTW does Eureka have a hospital or does everybody just go to GD for medical treatment? Anyway so Jack has to start watching stuff but really isn't sticking to the diet even though there's all these people watching what she eats/does (she's sneaky like that) so Nathan moves in with her to try and minimize her stress levels. Later (maybe in another story) Jack gets fed up with Nathan's perfectionist, controlling ways and kicks him out. This is actually a sad story for Nate since Jack gets so pissed at him.
Note to self: Convert
bluflamingo to the ways of Jack/Nathan. Introduce her slowly to the series and then shine the light of their love in her eyes so she can make amazing fic and then maybe amazing crossovers with Stargate Atlantis.
