I kinda felt like if I commented, then it would truly be the end of this series. But I know there will be side stories, and more future fic, so I mustered up the courage to say write something.
It's nice to both start and end with Ratchet and to get his POV about how things played out. I loved seeing how the mechs continue to interact with one another, as well as see more new mechs. I *adored* Red Alert doting on the babies, as well as his snippet of backstory. Sunny just about broke my heart with the little shrine - I wanted to pet him lots. I'm still fascinated by how the twins' experiences played out - how support and friendship can bring about peace vs how endless war just propagates more strife (would love to see a Sideswipe background piece surrounding the lab he wants to raze to the ground). The Sunny/Sides and Megatron/Optimus brotherhood parallels of Bayverse will never not fascinate me, and you explore those relationships so deliciously. Even if that wasn't a main focus in this fic, I pounced on this snippets when they arose.
And oh, Ratchet. Finally being able to accept that his choices were the right ones. *Squishes him lots*

*sniffs* This part is over, and it was a great ride (gonna have to carve out some time and reread from the very beginning). Can't wait to see the side stories and the tying up of loose ends. It is a burning need for me to know that Lennox, Sam, and Bee are ok or at least will be :)

Sunstreaker broke my heart left and right with this series. And part of the fun I had with this was drawing the parallels between Mega/Op and Sides/Sunny, along with exploring that difference in experiences for Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. They were very relevant to the storyline, especially toward the end when Optimus was just nuts enough to see Megatron in Sunstreaker. If the Twins hadn't left, I do think Optimus would have eventually killed Sunstreaker.

I'm thinking I'm definitely going to write a side piece about that laboratory. It's basically where Sideswipe was for a good portion of the war, before escaping and finding his way to Earth. That shuttle he was on with Arcee? Either crash-landed or was captured and delivered to Shockwave's laboratory...

Loose ends will definitely need to be tied up and I hope to tackle them one by one...
