a/n: This is for a flash fiction fill but actually, it's not. See. What had happened was, I wrote a fill for Skywinder for Tracks and Sideswipe and courting set in Apple a Day, and I referenced a bunch of stuff that hadn't happened yet because I forgot that I hadn't posted that chapter yet. So. I need to post to get to that fill before I do

*laughs* No, I actually hadn't had Apple in mind when I said that, but since I didn't specify, can't blame you for thinking I did. :) I don't mind, though. It would fit, anyway. :)

Yeah, that actually is how it looked. But whether or not you did, thank you. I really don't like that pairing. Plus, I just don't think Skyfire really had much of a connection to the Autobots, not enough to really form the kind of romantic attachment so many like to ascribe to him. I mean, he did seem to disappear from the series pretty much (with only the unconfirmed appearance in that G2 episode), so I can't see that he was really happy with them. I see him more as a bachelor science mech who can't seem to settle down. :)

Yeah, yeah, I know. I know what I write might suggest otherwise, but that's only because while I like the pairing, even I tend to be a little realistic in that sense. I think he's the only Cybertronian I can't really see with anyone, to be honest.

If it helps, I didn't remember that you said it was successful, so if it's otherwise, it won't bother me in the slightest.

Doh. *headdesk* That was supposed to say that Skyfire's was the only one I hadn't said was successful. That's what I get for typing too fast. *shakes head*

I think Skyfire could be happy with the Autobots at some point, but given that the original series kind of had a habit of randomly dropping characters without explanation, we really can't see canonically what he might have felt. So we can only make assumptions. Which is why, I guess, I might aim a little toward hoping for something happier because I would hope that he does find something or someone who can help him be happy, even if it is in friendship at the very least.

I have a question. Had you figured out who to pair with Tracks? If you have, that's fine. I just thought of someone I'd like to see with him, and if you've already come up with someone, I'll wait until the next Flash Fiction to use it.

I did but I have absolutely no attachment to that particular pairing (I just sort of drew a name out of a hat) so if you want to see him with someone specifically, feel free to suggest. I can easily adjust so long as it's doable. :)

Okay. Once saw a story where it alluded to a Tracks/Mirage pairing. Story wasn't focused on the pair, and it never said whether or not it worked out in the end because of that, though there was a hint that it might not have, but I have never really stumbled across anything again with that pairing and would like to see it just once more.

I think I've only ever seen one story that actually has a Tracks/Mirage pairing in it (and that's ladydragon76's Crackalackalicious 'verse). Pretty sure this one's doable. I don't think there's anything in-verse that would contradict it. *nods* Change affected~! :)
