July in Overview
Late post is late. This year is going by so fast I didn't even realize it was July until today. Holy Primus on a pogo stick.
Here's hoping July is much more productive than May and June had been. Trying to write has felt like wrangling a horde of maniacal bunnies who only want to bite when I'm incapable of putting fingers to paper, and run fleeing into the night when I'm sitting in front of my laptop, staring at a document. Cue the distractions in the form of RL drama, pronzy fanfiction, and a recent addiction to marathoning first LOST and now Smallville and yeah, productivity is on a downward slope.
BUT! All of this is going to change in July. *nods* I have goals. Goals I tell you. And even if it means sitting here and pretending I'm not anxious to find out what's going on in season four, I'm going to do it.
What's on the docket? Well, I'm pages behind writing Nycthemeron so I'm going to double-up until I catch-up. I'm in the midst of chapter seven as we speak, but I want to be in the midst of chapter nine by the end of the month.
Critical Mass is in desperate need of attention. I signed it up for crack_the_wip but I swear that everytime I pull up the document, I get this mental block on it. I don't know why. I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact I'm writing it for myself so I can wait. If that even makes sense? So it's going to get my full attention in July. I'm halfway done with the monster, I just need to write the rest.
My X-mas gift fic for Azar, which was supposed to be a short oneshot and has now become a very long-shot that's taking me forever to get finished, also needs some attention. One More Night, my Hot RodxTracks fic has grown a life of it's own and Azar has been very patient but I'm a terrible friend for not getting it done. So I'm going to do what I can on this, too.
I really, really, really need to update Apple a Day. I can pound out a chapter of that easy-peasy, I just need to figure out what's coming up next. So I'm going to give that a good ponder.
I'm going to keep on poking at Shady Hill and WOTA: Interlude, too, adding paragraphs here and there if only to feel like I've been working on them and not ignoring them, but I doubt any heavy work will be done.
Wayward Sons Act I and II are both done. I've had a wonderful person volunteer to be my beta for them so yay! Edits are to be had! You will not have to suffer through misplaced commas and random misspellings. :)
Expect to see another With Benefits update as all I need to do is edit it and it'll be good to go. Here's a hint, it's OptimusxSunstreakerxTracks. *grins* (And after that, we have OptimusxHufferxGearsxPowerglidexCliffjumperxWindcharger. Woot! But I still need to write that one and all the ones that come after it, too.)
I've finished a TrailbreakerxSideswipexSunstreaker oneshot so once I edit it, expect to see that posted, too. I've just got to type up and edit a Jazz/Bluestreak piece, actually a sequel to Undisclosed Desires, so that'll show up this month. Along with a Hot RodxSmokescreen chunk o' smut that just needs some smoothing, and a new project that's DatsunxLamborghini, surprise pairings inside!
Hrrm. I do think that's everything for this month. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Rants? I'm all ears. :D
