A Bid for Assistance
Good evening-morning-afternoon depending on your timezone everyone!
Haven't written anything new since I've been writing furiously on Critical Mass but I'll try to post up some edited chapters of some original work for those awaiting my updates. Time, I've recently learned, is a most precious commodity.
And now for my bid (beg, plead, bended knees here) for assistance. My usual thought-bouncer, beta-er, general ear for whining is not all up in and/or interested in Transformers: Prime and isn't quite as obsessed with TF fandom as I am right now. I could really use someone who's got some free time that would offer me some feedback on Critical Mass in progress and lemme know whether it sucks, whether it flows, whether I'm missing a key scene, whether I've forgotten who's supposed to be in the battle (like G1 is so very wont to do, *snicker*), etc. I don't really need a beta, per se, because my grammar's not terrible (curse you commas!) but a friendly ear who won't mind an exchange of e-mails back and forth as I whine, poke, prod and generally seek some feedback would be super-helpful.
I can't really offer any perks cause, ya know, I'm broke and stuff. But you do get first look at Critical Mass and I'm often inclined to write request-fics for helpful persons. You wouldn't need to dedicate a lot of time for me (frankly, I don't have much myself) and I wouldn't really need someone who can IM chat me but if you could respond once or twice a week that would be lovely. Sometimes, I get stuck on plot, too, and it helps to outline what I'm trying to do, because often in explaining it, I come to a solution. Or, my sounding board offers something that should be so very obvious but my brain just couldn't seem to connect the dots. I tend to miss the obvious.
Honesty is crucial here. If you're just looking for a sneak peek so you can send me an e-mail that says "I loved it, what's next?" every single time that's not helping me at all and I'll be right back where I started, staring woefully at unwritten words.
So is there anyone out there who wants to be a sounding board? You can comment here (I've screened them just in case for those that are shy) or you can PM me if you're interested.
