I survived X'mas!

I Liveth. Rawr. Lj-cut to save your flist.

... I'm a pretty abnormal and understood girl, judging by the presents I tend to get at X'mas. Loved: Bag from J's family, even though it's got pink trimming. (Pink = UGH. *puke*) Loved: Ang Baos. (3 digits! Yay!) Loved: Odds and ends of old notes from grand-aunts. Commemorative notes from 1990! Hated: Trashy books. Hated: Flowery hairclips. Hated: Assorted bath items. (Reason being, I can't use 'em because I have sensitive skin.)

Next year I shall strive harder to hint to relatives for Kino vouchers or ang baos. *squinty eyes* Or at least, books that are not rubbish or trashy.

Okay, fine, trashy books are fun to read sometimes (see: Bridget Jones, any book by Nicholas Sparks), but y'know, there are LIMITS. (Like getting Chirstian books that are actually pretty interesting, until the GP/Logic-trained side of my brain goes "ZOMG, all their evidence for the existence of God stems from evidence presented by a book, y'know, WRITTEN by God." ... Right, deep and objectively reasoned.) But anyway, the other trashy book I got was *short pause while Drac tries to remember the title* Uh, My teenage kiasu Singaporean life or something... Written by a Malaysia scholar (sp? O_O). I liked it firstly because it reminded me of Hwei and Min and YY and all the rest of my M'sia scholar friends, but also... Hee, if that kind of trash can get published, well, hope springs eternal for all of Singapore! XD

I love Body Shop's designs. My mum got this thing in a box, and when closed it looks like a proper box, but when you try to lift the "lid" off, you realise that it's all in one piece! :O Oh, so cool! ♥ (*Is an insufferable design geek*)

Was re-reading journal entries and, huh, I feel kinda ashamed. And reminded never to judge people superficially. Like how at the start of the year my class loved Flau, but we later discovered that he was a shirker and were actually cheering when he "retired". And how at the start of the year Ms JT seemed unreasonably tough, but later we all liked her immensely. So. Hmm. Sticky to self: Open eyes when looking at people.

And on a "SqueeSquee!" note, Gaiman and Pratchett's New Year resolutions for Crowley and Aziraphale *mad rabu sparkly* Every single one makes me laugh. Every. Single. One. I shall print it out and paste it on the empty pages of my GO book. *_* And, as a sidenote, Shoebox update! Wooh!

Okay, I'm officially announcing Apocalypse! To wit: And the four (or more?) shall ride out and reap destruction upon the land. For what can be better than CHEAP BOOKS?!? C'mon! Books warehouse sale, as announced earlier. Probably going on friday morning, because mornings are always wasted when I have excursions in the afternoon. Look, last year there were cheap Lit books, cheap Michael Crichton, cheap David Eddings, cheap hardcover books! COME ON! =D

Schedule for the next few days:
Weds: --- (homework)
Thurs: --- (homework)
Fri: Books Warehouse sale
Sat: Grocery shopping/homework/Funan?
Sun: (Yet ANOTHER) House party
Mon: The chick-flick version of the end of the world. (Ie: Hwei, Qing and Drac are going to pretend/ignore/forget that they are not bimbos and are going to watch P&P and possibly Elizabeth Town, because Orlando Bloom, Orlando Bloom!)
Tues: Watching juniors get tortured School

Bah. I have no motivation to do homework! Begone, foul GP and Physics and Stupid Job Attachment Report!

going out, school, books
