December - Day One
A Pete/Mikey drabble written and read by Draconic_Girl.
SLOW
Pete mumbles sleepily into Mikey’s ear. Hemmy’s footsteps echo in the silence of the morning, a faint clicking sound where his paws hit the linoleum floor. Mikey sighs in his sleep. Outside a woman is yelling and a car horn blares; there’s so much noise outside their little bubble of peace.
It’s been tough - tougher than they imagined - to stay together.
As the clock ticks on, the coffee machine automatically switches on. The scent of caffeine wafts over to them. Mikey sleepily pets Pete’s back, not quite yet awake.
Lazy mornings like these, make it all worth it.
