Degree exam preparation
... I knew it would be hard. I knew it. I don't think I expected what we received today. Every 1st geup got a big orange paper where we are to gather points - for sparring trainings, for assisting with trainigs, seminars with our Korean master, seminars with other masters, referee exams ... special things, not normal trainings (the sparring ones are an exception). You get one or two points for each activity. In two months, you have to get 90 points. There are some bonuses to get, but it's still very tough. I wonder what comes next.
On the other hand, I loved today's sparring training. A friend of mine, who's a well-earned 2nd degree, kept on shouting at me during all my fights, and it was SO MOTIVATING. I thought there was no strength left in me, but somehow I did not want to disappoint him, and I had a really, really good feeling after the matches. :o)
This weekend it's referee course. Then I fly off to Egypt. NO WAY for me to get my points. But I'll try.
