Safe and Dry

Aug 10, 2012 17:40

Hellloo! The rain has finally stopped and the flood waters have cleared. It has left much destruction and mud around our dear country's capital.

I am thankful for every message/comment and positive thought or prayer that you sent our way because we are all safe and dry and only suffered very minimal water damage this time around.

However, this is not the case for many families here in MNL especially for those in the poorer neighborhoods and particularly those in the slums whose houses were all but washed away. They've nothing left but the clothes on their backs and (hopefully) each other. They are in need of some serious help.

If you have any chunk change to spare please donate to the Philippine Red Cross. [Details under the cut]
