Hi Everyone!
I am alive ... crazy, but alive.
Real life has hit kind of hard. I swear my six year old is bi-polar. Seriously. I've had her tested and sent to help find answers and everyone is stumped. I absolutely love her, but I feel like I don't ever want to be around her. She brings out the absolute worst in me.
Work is stupid. I love teaching Literature/Writing, but my headmaster and assistant headmaster have some unrealistic expectations. Out of the PreK-Eighth grade homeroom teachers (10 of us), there are 4 teachers that I know of that are job searching for next year.
I haven't had a spare moment to write. I was excited to be able to post 4 or 5 drabbles on New Year's Day. I think it's going to serve as a place to start from when I get the time to actually write.
Funny story - I've befriended the "book geek" in my 8th grade class. He keeps introducing me to different manga and anime, so we've bonded over that. This past week, he let slip that he likes reading a series of paranormal romance. He begged me not to tell his mother. Then he felt bad that he told me about these books. He begged me not to read them so that I wouldn't think less of him. He also didn't want to subject me to that kind of graphic content. I sooooo wanted to let "my secret" of writing HP slash, but I know that I can't do that.
Anime/Manga update: I'm now up to episode 22 of Bleach anime. I'm hooked. I started off watching the episodes on DVD, so I'm now making the trasition of no subtitles to subtitles. I just miss being able to see it on my big tv. I'm wondering how different is the anime to the book. Some series have big differences, others don't.
I loved reading Loveless. Are there any places online that has a NC17 version of it? (Like Gravitation has Remix and megamix).
Harry Potter - I do plan on reading/writing more. If you've written/drawn something that you think I'd especially like, feel free to drop me an email or respond to this post. Due to my addictive nature, I'm only popping onto IJ and LJ on weekends.
