I think big girls should take Daddy's side of the bed that night and make sure no Beans go rolling off, what do you think? Papa might need your protection, as well.

I'll be missing all of you so terribly I may need to take a sleeping potion to make the time pass more quickly until I can come home for more snuggles.

We'll be at the hospital so much that you won't have time to miss us, isn't that right, pumpkin?

I don't reckon I'd want you to miss a night at home in a cozy bed, Morsel. The beds at the hospital aren't very much fun, and there's no fridgey full of food to snack on, either. And all of your toys and cartoons on the telly are here.

Well, I suppose that we could, honey, as long as the doctor says it's okay. Don't worry about what Daddy says - if we want to stay overnight in the hospital with him, he won't stop us.

It isn't nice to undermine Daddy in front of the children, Papa.

And what about Daddy's Littlest Lentil? I don't reckon he would mind another trip to St. Mungo's.

No, but he won't really care where he is as long as there's a bottle within reach.
