In what I feel was a rather slick exchange, I bartered in-house salon services for a number of needy orphans in exchange for a weekend escape in Cannes, complete with complimentary child-minding. Well, if you had some professional help in the form of a project manager, you could spare a couple of hours each day with the boy...talking to him and letting him know that he isn't alone.

I have been spending time with him, which is why I'll need to spend extra time shouting at the renovation crew first thing on Monday morning. Not that you've noticed, since your eyes are glued to Oscar most of the time.

It's plain to see that you're---very fond of him. I think you're trying to make up for the fact that he's basically got no parents, so you try a bit harder with him.

He's never going to master the art of walking if you're always holding him, though.
