My list of needs
Okay so I know I posted like...five minutes ago, but the last post prompted me to start this new post. One of the questions on the last survey I took was "What are three things you want in the opposite/same sex?" and I found I had a -ton- more than just three things I want. So, I decided to start a new list and I'll update it by putting the date first whenever I find a new thing to add.
Rachel's List of Things She Wants in a Mate
I want someone who...
- Enjoys laughing...but
- Can cry too.
- Like doing random things.
- Thinks trips out to McDonald's or Taco Bell at 3:30 AM because you have a weird craving are fun
- Doesn't mind listening to long stories that I find hilarious, but probably won't get.
- Gets bonus points for laughing with me even though they -don't- get what's so funny about my story.
- Is able to understand it is hard for me to open up to people, even those who I love. I might love you and trust you, but it will always be hard. Just give me time.
- Will dance with me, even though they don’t like it.
- Thinks that tying me up, being rough, and roleplay is sexy.
- Has a hatred for the color pink.
- Wants to walk in graveyards because they think it's romantic. (Which it is.).
- Believes love exists like in "The Princess Bride."
- Finds meat to be delicious, but love fruits and veggies too!
- Has a penchant for reading and book discussions.
- Thinks that the guy in "Bloody Valentine" by Good Charlotte is deeply in love and amazing. (As opposed to mad.)
- Can understand that I’m a headstrong person.
- Would tell me if they cheated on me, just because they knew it would hurt worse if they lied.
- Has strong political views, but...
- Can listen to others views without being demeaning and…
- Has the knowledge or research to backup said views.
- Cares about their education and grades.
- Doesn't care if other people think they are weird or abnormal.
- Would like to hold and kiss each other in pouring rainstorm. (Bonus points if in a graveyard.)
- Actually reads people's profiles -before- IMing them.
- Types and writes in proper English. (The occasional typos is okay, 'i wanna fuk u' isn't.)
- Cares about their health AKA bathing, going to the doctor when ill, brushing teeth…etc.
- Preferably isn’t a prep or jock.
- Wouldn’t mind tasting blood, if giving freely.
- Can take care of me. This means…
- Holding me when I cry.
- Is mature and doesn’t me to be their mother.
- Can listen when I need someone to talk to.
- Thinks that honesty and trust are parts of the foundation of a relationship.
- Likes short and long hair.
- Understands how because I was raped sex is hard, no matter how much I talk about it or fool around. Talking and teasing are a lot easier to do than the actual event.
- Would hug me, even if we were fighting.
- Wants a big tub in the master bathroom so we can take baths together occasionally.
- Doesn’t think that my love for reading books (Especially the Harry Potter and Anita Blake series.) is a pain.
- Likes classical, rock, pop, dance, and some RB/hip hop music.
- Hates rap and country music.
- Thinks me changing my hair or eye color is cool.
