Author’s Notes: Draco Malfoy’s confession
Forgive me, Minister, for I have sinned.
For having mercy bestowed upon me, a lamb fated to be slaughtered. If the thunder roared for a reckless murder, the rain must have meant to weep for a broken soul. I wasted the divine tears.
For finding my way when I was lost. I confess skipping the spiritual wandering; I was magically chained to the criminal stand after all. A simple I believe him paved my way, uttered by a mere mortal, flawed and blind as I am-more so without his glasses. I wasted the divine plan to do the same.

For learning to love when my destiny was to speak for the Devil, when my looks alone define temptation. Instead, I fell for someone inarticulate and with an appalling fashion sense. I wasted the divine gifts of oration and beauty.
Today, I come before you at the request of the faithful wandpoints behind me. I‘ve failed to drop dead or get lost, as evidenced by the recent issue of Playwitch; I’ve failed as a pariah but succeeded in corrupting the Saviour of the magical world with sodomy. He’s learned to love it, by the way.
Please, Minister, forgive me.
