Welcome Hope
By Newshound
Draco couldn’t help but notice how nervous Harry was as he rubbed the handle of his coffee cup. He hoped whatever was causing Harry such anxiety hadn’t affected his cooking skills.
“I’ve been thinking, Draco,” Harry said, keeping his eyes on his morning coffee. “Maybe it’s time we had a little addition to our family.”
“I’m not going to have a baby, Harry,” Draco said firmly. “We’ve been married only three months; that’s far too soon.”
“You can get pregnant?” Harry asked, mouth dropping open and eyes blinking rapidly.
“I’m a rich, pureblood wizard; I can do anything I want.”

“But, I… well….” Harry stammered helplessly. He hoped Draco wasn’t serious.
“Besides,” Draco said, ignoring Harry, “pregnancy isn’t something one rushes into without a great deal of forethought. Why, it would take at least a year to make preparations. We’ll need a roomier home - with a far more spacious yard - I’ll need to visit Paris to select suitable nursery items, and mustn’t forget the engraved silver birth announcements. Oh, and they’ll have to arrange a suite at St. Mungo’s. I simply won’t labor and deliver with the masses.”
“And here I thought getting you pregnant would be complicated,” Harry muttered.

Harry took a long, bracing sip of tea. “I think I know a compromise that will make us both happy. I hope.”
“I can have my addition and we can wait on the baby.” Harry laughed and eyed Draco cautiously.
“Harry, what have you done?” A strange noise was coming from the bedroom, and if Draco didn’t know better, it sounded like -
“That better not be what I think it is.”
Harry rushed off to the bedroom and returned with a lump of wrinkled white and brown fur in his arms. “You’re going to love her, Draco.”
“You better hope.”
