Author’s Notes: Written for The Hex Files Oct/Nov challenge #2: 100 word drabble that includes the phrase "It's mine, Potter." It fits this week's prompt as well :)
He studies the crease on the palm, tracing the forks that flick like venomous tongues of Dark Marks before converging to a smooth, clean line.
He follows the curve that winds through a plain of calloused skin; it fades into the flesh, pale along the stream of bluish blood.
Closing around the wrist, his fingers feel the fluid bubbling in a steady beat.
“It’s mine, Potter.”
His lips fuse with the pulse point, red against gold like fiery beasts that scorch and threaten to devour them both.
Once again, Draco holds on, so tightly that it hurts, to his lifeline.
