Narcissa's lips thinned. "The more you pushed, the more Potter pulled back."
"Thanks, Mum," Draco snapped. "I can't tell you how pleased I am to know you've taken his side."
"I'm not taking his side," said Narcissa. "I just can't help but think that you would have done better to coax him into marriage, rather than bullying him by invoking family law."
Draco sank into a chair across from his mother and rubbed a weary hand over his face. "What's done is done," he said with a sigh. "I did what I needed to, in order to secure my heir."
