Harry and Draco were visiting Ron and Hermione, who were currently house-sitting for Hermione's Canadian cousin in a Muggle town near Toronto. It was Hallowe'en, and they were out with Ron & Hermione's three-year-old twins on their trick-or-treating rounds. They thought it would be fun to experience it here, since they were told the neighbours got right into the event.
"Harry, would you relax already?!" Hermione admonished.
"But he's home alone!" Harry whined.
"Harry, he's thirty two years old. I'm sure he's fine for a couple hours without you."
"But --"
"Ron, would you tell him?" Hermione nudged her husband.
"I dunno, Hermione. I think Harry has a point," Ron said. "We are talking about the ferret."
The concern was that Draco was back at the house, handing out candy to neighbourhood children. Both Ron and Hermione had wanted to go with their children, since they wouldn't experience this again, and the twins had begged Uncle Harry to join them. Draco was pleased to accommodate, and offered to dole out goodies. Harry suspected that he might just eat more than he would give away.
"What could he possibly do, Harry?" Hermione asked.
"I'm almost too afraid to imagine the possibilities."
It wasn't long before Harry found out exactly what Draco could - and would do. Harry, a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, approached the house that had a huge crowd of children gathered round the garage. Hermione's cousin's garage. The garage where Draco stood inside. His heart skipped a beat as he heard a child's scream coming from the crowd.
Harry walked very quickly towards the garage, trying not to cause too much commotion. It turned out the scream he had heard was of delight. The sight that met his eyes stopped him dead in his tracks.
Draco was levitating a Muggle child in the air for all to see! When Draco's eyes met Harry's, his excitement faded fast. He slowly let the child down, then announced, "Well, that's it for tonight!" The boys and girls groaned with disappointment, almost as loudly as they had squealed with amazement.
Later that night ...
"But I couldn't just let it go," Draco explained.
"Yes, you could," Harry growled for the hundredth time, he was sure.
"But the children wouldn't stop talking about it."
"You performed magic right in front of Muggles!"
"But the other man did too!" he pouted.
"No, he didn't. What did you say he did? Ah, yes, he 'performed parlour tricks and passed them off as magic'."
"Well he did!" Draco said incredulously. "It was outrageous! And they all believed it."
"That doesn't mean you had to do something about it!"
"But Haaaa-ry!"
Tired of an argument he knew could go on for hours, Harry shut Draco up the best way he knew how, by tackling him to the bed, and snogging him for all it was worth.
When they came up for air, Draco asked, "So, are we coming back to Canada again next year?"
