These two chapters are really tugging at me because Draco's unraveling completely and it's hard to watch. When he started to question whether or not he really knew Harry at all - this killed me because his past is littered with so much loneliness and skepticism, a longing to be accepted, and when he finally is, everything isn't as it seems. The one constant, for better or worse, in his life has always been Harry, and to come face-to-face with a heavy feeling of deception is so difficult to do. I really feel for him. (Clearly, I have a lot of feelings)
It's nice to see Draco reach out to Ron, though, because it shows his growth ... he's willing to help Harry no matter the cost. I don't know if the role-reversal was intentional here, with Harry and Draco, but it's a nice touch, kind of flipping the status quo on its head.
There's a lot more depth to Narcissa than people give her credit for, and I've always thought that despite her chilly demeanor, she's always wanted the best for Draco. That was a nice moment between the two of them in chapter 12, despite the unease.
I'm just loving this series.
