Dear Books,

So its my March Post of books I am in the process of reading or books I have read. I'm hiding these behind cuts because A, they are very picture heavy and B, I sort of babble while posting each book. Perhaps its silly, but I feel sort of like I've achieved something when I've been able to dump out a list of books I've been reading.

I am posting from the lobby at the Doubletree. (I'm assuming that it's safe to write that, because even with my general online paranoia, I can't imagine someone stalking me via a response to your LJ.) I'm eating baklava and hoping not to get honey on my keyboard. I'm wearing my pajamas and bedroom slippers, but oddly enough, it's sort of like going to WalMart in the middle of the night -- no one has given me a strange look yet.

I have already finished The Bones of Faerie. It's good. So good.

And I had such fun last night! It was great.

My nephew's wife was pretty funny. "They were awfully young, weren't they?" (Were it my house, I'd have invited you in, but just be glad that you weren't part of the weirdness. I told you about the dynamics. It's just gotten weirder since last night.)

Ellen's surgery went quite well. She's amazingly resilient and was up and running around by this afternoon. I think the cut on her lip from the thing that held her mouth open is more bothersome to her than her ears or throat. That, and the "poop" in her ears, which is how she's describing the drainage. Her voice is entirely different.

I'm glad we're staying at the hotel tonight, though. I also got the opportunity to exercise. And flirted with some guy in the exercise room.
