Ah fuck...
My car failed it's MOT today. Needs a couple of little things; new numberplate (£9.99, not so bad), new wiper blades (no more than £15 a pair, again, not so bad) and one HUGE job.....new brake pipes....£180!!! *cries* And the tax was also due at the end of Feb, so that's another £70!
It's not like we're broke, we do have the money for it, but I had plans for my money! And now I have to spend it on a car that I haven't even driven in two weeks apart from to the garage this morning! I'm seriously considering talking to OH about going back to just one car... OR I may start saving some money, now I'm working towards a newer one. It's not old, it's only 8 years old, but we've spent...£600?..on maintenance alone in the last year. It may be time to think about saying goodbye to our Johnny.
I want a laptop. Really really want one. Gonna start shopping around and see what we can find. OH wants a Wii, but he hardly plays on the Xbox these days and we really don't have the space in our living room for it. Our room is a funny shape, not much floor space. So yeah, I'm gonna try and convince him we need a laptop instead, then I can be online and watch TV at the same time!! My eyes will be ruined by the time I'm thirty! lol.
Comic Relief today which meant yummy cakes for sale at work. :) I might have had one...or three. LOL. But it's FRIDAY! And I've foregone my usually Friday chocolate treat and it's for CHARITY, so it's ok. Charity calories don't count. *g*
I was approached by a work colleague today just before I left. She lives around the corner from me and she's a lovely lady. She asked if she could walk home from work with me! :) She's nice and it was nice to have company, but OMG she walks sooooo slow!! Took me twice as long to get home as it usually does!! Lol. I just hope she's not gonna want to do that everyday. And that sounds horrible, but I don't think I can cope with a 45 minute walk home that should only take 25 mins max. Not everyday. Thank god she gets the bus in the mornings! Lol.
