Technical Stargate Question
If something were to hit and destroy the DHD of a Stargate while there was an open outgoing wormhole, would it disengage? Assuming there is nobody travelling through the wormhole at the time and no radio signals are being transmitted.
Oh, and the radio signal keeping the gate open thing...I'm assuming that's outgoing only? If the signal was going through an incoming wormhole, would it keep it open or not?
Oh, and a question from OH...why doesn't the kerwoosh destroy the Iris when the wormhole forms behind a closed iris?
