FRIDAY! WHOOP WHOOP!
Not that I have any plans, but YAY!
Had a bitch of an afternoon. The kind when you come back from lunch and five minutes later you're like "Oh here we go, it's gonna be one of those afternoons". But I made it through and out by 5pm (just! and I might've left a smidge of paperwork for Monday morning...). Was told at 4.30 that we were expecting an urgent delivery and had it come yet? It was ordered at 9am and guaranteed for 5pm. We close at 5pm. It arrived...at 16.57!! *headdesk* Luckily I was ready for it and booked it in quick enough to leave at 5 on the dot. Why do people not think to chase things like this up a bit earlier instead of "ooh, end of the day, where's my stuff?" Idiots.
Oh and the IT Dept. decided to disconnect all our printers on our busiest afternoon for an hour without letting us know! Bastards.
They're interviewing for my replacement in a few weeks and they want me to help!! Yikes!! I'll be showing the people around the department before their interviews and going through the manual handling and computer tests with them!! :D Sgt. Major is NOT going to be happy when he finds out. Heh. He always jumps in a volunteers for that kind of thing, but the bosses don't want him to do it this time. Last time he did it, he basically told the interviewees a load of crap. Lol.
The weather has been horrible today! Still hot, but very humid and sticky. Ugh. Where's the sunshine gone?! I did get rained on this morning in the brief 2 minute shower we had and it felt wonderful! Lol. Right now...I feel like we could use a good thunderstorm.
I discovered that the adaptor I bought to play my iPod in OH's car also fits the stereo in our living room! Awesome!
Downloaded a very funky (completely illegal bootleg) Michael Jackson megamix. :) I also have £15 to spend at the iTunes store but I haven't got a clue what to spend it on. Nothing is really jumping out and saying "buy me!!" at the moment. Hmmm.
And I now love iTunes! Was importing a load of my CD's last night to go on the pod and it's so much quicker and easier than Media Player! Media Player sucks!
I pre-ordered the Children of the Gods DVD. :) Haven't pre-ordered the Atlantis boxset yet, because it's £119 and I'm not sure I can afford it this payday. Maybe the next one. I just hope the price doesn't go up before I can afford it!
Can't decide what to have for tea. I hate making tea just for myself, I'm not used to it anymore! Lol.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that this ad is back on TV!! :D Come on now, you know the words... "The red car and the blue car had a race..." *g* Although they've changed the words a bit and got rid of the neon sign at the end on the new version, because apparently people in Britain don't know that too much chocolate is bad for you. *eyeroll*
