Fandom: Star Trek Next Generation, Harry Potter Harry is dumped onto the bridge of the Enterprise D in the aftermath of his defeat of Voldemort. This is the story of his new life.
I found this a very interesting story in that, while he enriches the plot, this is far more a STNG story than it is an HP one. Which is as it should be considering the setting. Magic is such an easy deus ex machina in non-HP 'verses that it's refreshing to see a story that incorporates it without letting it dominate; although Harry's magical abilities certainly play a part it is his adoption into the STNG crew and lifestyle that is the main point and this is very well handled, with believable attitudes on both his and the crew's side. The female Klingon character K'mpok (Kim) who plays love interest is really excellent and overall I was left very definitely wanting a sequel.
