Fandom: SGA, NCIS Lt Aiden Ford has been missing for over a year. No one will tell the family anything beyond ‘Missing In Action-Presumed Dead’ and ‘I’m sorry.’ When they appeal to their congressman for help in finding out what happened, President Hayes intervenes and instigates a special investigation into the Lieutenant’s status.
And who do you call in if you want an investigator who fears no-one and will stop at nothing to get at the truth? Gibbs, of course!
This is well written and a very satisfying coda to a character who was IMHO never handled very well by the writers. It is told entirely from Gibbs point of view as he works his way through the maze of Atlantis with the help of Abby and Jon (clone!Jack).
Note: The first chapter assumes a prior meeting between Gibbs and Jon that took place in the short story Lost Soul. It is not necessary to have read this but it may help.
