becuzitswrong - Kennedy the Vampire Slayer, Season 1
Fandom: BtVS This is a sequel, of sorts, to the WiP " Life's Ending, Life's Beginning", which is an AU in which things went horribly wrong at Graduation and everyone except Buffy died. She's now off in the Air Force becoming all she can be.
Meanwhile, back in Sunnydale, Faith died without regaining consciousness and Kennedy has been called to take up the role of Slayer, almost entirely unaware of the history of her predecessor Buffy. She and her Watcher begin to pick up their own set of 'Scoobies' as they clash with Spike and run up against the Initiative. It's an interesting variation on canon, particularly in how the main characters Kennedy, Warren, Andrew and Veruca vary from their canon personae (for the better) but in ways that are presented convincingly through natural growth in changed circumstances.
Note: This is also a WiP and has not been updated for a long time.
Update: Tragically, the author has passed away and so neither this nor the prequel will be finished. Still 100% worth reading though!
