Fandom: BtVS, SG1 Sequel to Far Beyond Normal.
This is an AU xover with SG1. Buffy wants another shot at the First. Not everyone thinks this is a good idea. Especially since the First knows she's coming. This is an incredibly involved and convoluted plot that will leave you wondering right up to the last moment. The author manages to make the science sound completely believable and the characterisation is excellent, including careful and clear differentiation between versions of characters from different universes. Dawn is also very well portrayed as a hero in her own right in this AU. I found myself unable to stop reading even thought it meant a very late night!
