I am feverishly working on a birthday gift for my grandfather. He really liked the digital photo frame my parents have in their living room. The majority of his photos are on slides which are a pain to view (get the projector out, setup the screen, insert slides into the tray, and view). So a couple of weeks ago, I talked him into loaning me a stack of his slides. I'm scanning them in and editing them while my parents are going to provide the digital frame to display them on. No money out of my pocket, just my valuable time. 41 photos roughly edited, hundreds more to go. Hoping to have at least 100 done by Thursday morning when I head to Houston.

The goal is to get him to go through the photos and identify dates, locations, and people so we can record that information with the photos themselves. Otherwise they'll end up being random photos that mean nothing to us after they pass.

Additionally, my dad might be able to give a copy of the photos to his sister as a nice gift to her after all of these years.

Back to work...
