The two singles were misleading as to the overall tone; this beast is a loud one and ominous to boot. If I were one of those people I'd say something like this is what the second disc of The Fragile should have sounded like. As it stands, by way of comparison, it's [With_Teeth] by way of Year Zero, a noisier evolution of the latter with stronger ties into the rock elements of yesterdecade. Whether this is a long haul turn of if again Trent is just throwing ideas out like with the Ghosts project and seeing what sticks, it remains to be seen.
This album is cash, lads and ladies. And you don't turn down a free pint, do you?
Speaking of, the pub I have sights on are still looking for employees and sound anxious enough to meet me. Here's hoping.
