On A Pathway To You
Chapter Six: He's A Great Guy
Summary: Jesse tries to find someone for Brian. Brian thinks he wants Justin but at the same time has his doubts. Justin is positive that he wants Brain as more than a fuck buddy.
AN: Thanks to my betas Sunny and Helen. You guys rock. I hope you guys like this. Let me know.

Jesse opened his eyes and frowned when Brian smiled at him. "Hey," he said. "Where have you been? I thought you said you were coming here to sleep."

"Yeah," Brian said and smirked. "I had to go do something," he said. He had gone to Justin's house and spent most of the morning with the blond.

"What time is it?" Jesse asked.

"It's like two," Brian told him.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Jesse asked as he sat up on the sofa. The teen had come to Brian's loft and let himself in. He had been planning to spend some time with Francis but the redhead knew him too well. He had told him to go and spend some time with Brian. Francis knew that the brunet was lonely too mostly because Jesse kept telling him all the time.

"I've been trying to wake you up," Brian told him.

"Oh yeah?" Jesse asked and stretched. "Sleep is so good."

"I thought you and Francis had gone back to sleep," Brian pointed out.

"Oh, that boy had other plans," Jesse said smirking.

"You two are getting serious," Brian pointed out. "What happened to 'he swears he's my boyfriend but he's not' crap you talked about before?"

Jesse narrowed his eyes at the brunet. "Shut up," he groaned. "We...we let it go as it flows."

"Whatever," Brian said smirking. "Are you hungry? I ordered food."

"Yeah, food will be good. I have to call ma. She must be worried about me. I haven't called her all day," Jesse said once he was standing up. "I'll be right back. I need to use the bathroom."

"You know the way," Brian told him.

Jesse nodded and walked to it. For some reason he started thinking about Francis and what Brian had said. It was true that in the beginning he always said that Francis was only his friend but now it was much more. He'd never intended for that to happen and he knew that he was falling for the redhead every day more. He hoped that in the end he didn't get hurt like Brian had because he didn't think he would be as strong as the brunet had been.

"Hey, what kind of food did you order?" Jesse asked as he came out of the bathroom.

"Thai," Brian told him.

"Okay," Jesse said grabbing the phone to call his mom. He sat on the stool and assured his mother over and over that he was okay. He assured her that he would be at home to sleep and then hung up.

"Hey, food is here," Brian told him when Jesse hung up.

The brunet let the delivery guy in and then moved to get his money. Jesse helped him put the food on the plates before they sat down to eat on the sofa. These days Brian was more relaxed about them eating there.

"Why is your food different from mine?" Jesse asked looking from one plate to the other.

"You're not going to like what I'm eating," Brian told him. "So I ordered you something different."

"How do you know?" Jesse asked.

"Mine is spicy and you don't like food like that," the brunet pointed out and walked to the fridge to get two beers.

"That's when I was younger, Bri," Jesse protested.

"Fine," Brian told him as he opened his beer. "Go ahead, you can taste it."

Jesse smiled and did. He chewed on it and nodded. "It's spicy," he said and swallowed. His eyes watered and he closed them. "Goddamn, Brian."

The brunet only grinned.

“This thing is hot as shit,” Jesse told him. “Fuck!”

Brian laughed at the teen. "That is what happens to you for always eating everything.”

“How the fuck do you go to the bathroom after eating this shit, Brian?” Jesse asked.

“It's good for cleaning up the pipes,” Brian teased

Jesse frowned and opened his mouth to suck in air. Brian put the beers on the table in front of them and Jesse grabbed on quickly. He gulped a lot down before he stopped.

"Fuck," the teen hissed. "That's making it worst."

Brian smirked as he walked back to the fridge to get some water. After that the teen felt a bit better and ate his food. He couldn't believe that the brunet ate his without even making a face about it.

"That was good," Brian said smiling as he got up with his plate to throw it away.

Jesse did the same before they were back to sitting on the sofa watching TV. "So," the teen said after a few minutes. "Are you over my brother yet?"

Brian looked at Jesse with a raised brow.

"I'm just wondering if you guys are still going to be friends," Jesse said. "And before you say anything...you sometimes act like you don't want to be his friend."

Brian sighed. "I don't know, Jesse. It's not that. It's just that..."

"He hurt you," Jesse finished.

Brian looked away. He hated talking about his feelings.

"He didn't mean to," the younger of the two said.

"I know," the brunet whispered. "But it's hard for me to just pretend like nothing happened."

"I understand," Jesse muttered.

"I'm trying my best," Brian assured him. "We'll be okay. It's just going to take a bit of time."

Jesse smiled at him.

"Now, can we talk about something else?" Brian asked arching a brow.

"Have you thought about dating?" Jesse asked.

Brian glared at him.

"It was just a thought," Jesse said. "Maybe there is someone out there for you."

Brian thought he wanted to talk to the boy about Justin. He wanted to tell him that he'd been seeing Justin. Part of him felt like he owed it to the kid. The other part of him wasn't ready to talk about Justin to anyone. He really didn't know what was happening to him. He would found himself missing the blond. There were times when he wanted to grab the phone and just call the man to ask him how his day was going but he wasn't going to break his rules. He would be strong, or so he kept telling himself. He wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice and get his heart broken again. And it didn't matter what he wanted anyways, he and Justin were just fuck buddies. The blond didn't want anything serious with him; he'd told him so in the beginning. "Nah, I don't think so."

Jesse wasn't giving up just yet. "Hey can we go see what movies they have on demand?" Jesse asked.

Brian sighed. "I guess. You are going to make me broke you know."

"Thank you Bri-Bri," Jesse replied and laughed.

"Don't call me that," Brian said and moved closer to Jesse before he started to tickle the young man. "You got to respect your elders squirt."

"No," Jesse yelled and laughed as the man tickled him.

Brian stopped and laughed.

"You're an ass," Jesse told him as he tried to breathe right once again. He tried to do the same thing to Brian but couldn't.

The brunet quickly grabbed Jesse's wrist and stopped him. "Say I'm the king of the world."

That only made the teen start laughing his ass off. At that moment there was a knock on the door.

"It's not funny," Brian said and flicked the teen on the ear before he stood up.

"Ouch!" Jesse yelled. "That's not fair. One of these days I'm going to hurt you."

"You wish," the brunet told him smirking. He was smiling when he opened the door but it went away as soon as he saw Michael.

"Hello," Michael said smiling at the man.

"Hey," Brian said when he saw the man.

"Who is it?" Jesse asked and looked back to the door. His eyes opened wide when he saw his brother.

"Hey Jesse," Michael said smiling as he walked inside.

"Want to come in?" Brian asked sarcastically and sighed.

"So what are you doing here?" Michael asked as he walked over to his brother.

"Just hanging out," Jesse told him.

Brian who had closed the door as soon as Michael stepped in was now in the kitchen wondering what Michael was doing there. If the man was there to fight again he was going to fucking kill him. From time to time Michael dropped by to question why they didn't hang out like they used to. Brian always thought about telling him 'because you hurt me and it's hard to push it all behind like nothing happened' but he didn't trust Michael with his feelings anymore.

The brunet grabbed a beer for Michael and went to give it to him. "Want one, Michael?"

Michael sighed at that as he grabbed the beer. "You used to call me Mikey. Remember that?"

The brunet shrugged. "It is still your name."

Jesse didn't like where things were going. He could tell there was an argument brewing between the two men.

"I've been trying to call you," Michael told him. "Why won't you answer me? You said that you still want to be friends but you keep ignoring me."

The teen didn't know what to say. He didn't know if he should stay or leave.

"I've been busy," Brian told him.

"Are you busy now?" Michael asked.

The brunet licked his lips. "Yeah," he told him. "I am hanging with your brother right now."

"Brian," Jesse said as he stood up. "I could leave so you guys can talk," he said. He didn’t want them fighting.

"No," Brian said. "It's okay. If Mikey wants to hang out with us, he can."

Michael looked at his brother and then at Brian. "Okay," he said. "We can do that."

Jesse smiled and went back to sit down and surfing through channels. Brian offered Michael some food and the man nodded and got up to get it. Jesse was happy because he knew it would be tense in the beginning but sooner or later Brian and his brother were going to be okay.

"Here," Jesse said when he found the movie he wanted. "We'll watch this."

Michael sat down in the sofa with his food. Brian and Jesse kept making comments about what they were watching and laughing about it. Michael thought it made no sense what they were talking about. Then as he looked at Brian and Jesse he realized that they had their own dialect. He wasn't Brian's best friend anymore, Jesse was. He felt sad about that. He decided to stay anyway and work on it. He and Brian had been friends before anything had happened and he knew that they could still be.

Francis crushed the butt of the cigarette on the floor and then leaned back on the bench. He and Jesse had been walking to his house while cutting through the park, but sat down for a while and started talking. They had done that before and it was relaxing and fun to just talk about anything.

"I was thinking of buying a car," Jesse said. "I've been saving a lot of money by living with Ma."

Francis smiled at him. "I could help you if you want to."

"Nah," Jesse said shaking his head. "I can do it myself."

Francis liked how Jesse never asked him for money. That's why they were so good friends at the beginning and that's why Francis had fallen for Jesse. The kid was always down to earth. Jesse was one of the few people that never expected money out of their friendship or relationship.

"Then I don't have to be telling you or Brian to take me everywhere," Jesse told him.

"So, how's Brian?" Francis asked smiling.

Jesse shrugged. "He's okay. I haven't seen him in a few days."

"Oh," Francis told him.

"I'll see if I can see him today," Jesse said. "I got to make sure that he's okay."

Francis stared at Jesse and smiled as he thought of how jealous he was in the beginning when Jesse and Brian starting hanging out. He thought that somehow Brian was going to steal Jesse away from him. But now he knew it wasn't like that. The two men loved each other like brothers and nothing else. He had nothing to worry about.

Jesse nodded. "I think he needs to find someone."

"Like who?" Francis asked.

"I don't know," Jesse said. "Someone that's hot and that is smart and that can deal with...well, Brian."

Francis laughed. "Mmm, I don't know anyone of Brian's age."

"Me neither," Jesse said. "I mean not like to date him."

"Maybe we can set him on a blind date," Francis said.

"Brian would never go for that," Jesse pointed out.

"I know," Francis said. "I just said it so we could laugh."

The two men looked at each other and grinned.

"Okay so who?" Francis asked.

Jesse thought about it. "I have no idea."

Francis bit his lower lip and smiled. "I got an idea."

Jesse only arched a brow. After his boyfriend told him what it was he said that it might work. Now all they had to do was find someone that would go for it.

***

"Just be cool," Francis said to Charles as they stood in front of Woody's.

Charles nodded with a big smile. "I got this."

Jesse rolled his eyes. "I don't think this is a good plan."

"He knows what he's doing," Francis said.

Jesse frowned. "He does not."

Charles smiled at the teens. "Look, I get it. He can't know that you're setting him up. I won't tell him. I'll pretend like it was fate or something like that."

Jesse shook his head. "Brian doesn't believe in fate or destiny or any of that crap."

The man nodded. "I know all this. You guys made sure I memorized it over and over again. I know how to deal with guys like Brian. Trust me," he said.

Jesse shrugged while Francis gave Charles a two thumbs up.

"Good thing we're not paying him," Jesse said and smirked. "We would be losing our money."

"Don't say that," Francis said.

"Why the hell are we doing this?" Jesse asked.

They had found Charles because of an ad in a paper. The man said that he was looking for someone to share his time with. He listed some of his qualities and the boys had called him up among many other guys. They picked Charles out of the rest because the man sounded sane, he was good looking and had a good job.

"You said you wanted to hook Brian up with someone," Francis pointed out.

"I don't know," Jesse said. "I don't think this is the right guy."

"We'll just have to wait and see. Are we going in?" Francis asked.

"Give it a few minutes," Jesse said.

Inside of Woody's Charles was by the bar getting himself a beer. He looked around and spotted Brian with some guys sitting at a table. He was a bit nervous but he was confident that he could get a date with the brunet. He drank a few beers and just kept looking towards the brunet. He smiled when Brian looked in his direction. Brian arched a brow, looked at Charles from head to toe and then continued his conversation with Ted and Emmett.

"Okay," Charles said to himself and started walking to where Brian was.

Everyone stopped talking and they looked up at the man.

"Hi," Charles said with a big smile. "I'm Charles."

Brian ignored him.

"Um," Ted said. "I'm Ted and this is Emmett and Brian. You're new around here."

"Not really," Charles said. "I'm just not into the club scene."

"So what are you doing here?" Brian asked him arching a brow.

At that moment Jesse and Francis came inside.

"Should we go there?" Francis asked.

"No," Jesse hissed. "Let's go get something to drink. Then we'll go there."

"I thought I tried it out," Charles responded. "Do you mind if I sit down?"

"Go ahead," Emmett said smiling. "So, do you have a boyfriend?"

"Not at the moment," Charles replied and took a sip of his beer. He looked at Brian and smiled yet again.

Ted and Emmett looked at each other and smirked. They could tell that Charles really liked Brian.

"So what do you do, Charles?" Ted asked.

"I'm a lawyer," Charles told them. "One of the top ones if I might add."

"Nice," Emmett said.

"What about you?" Charles said looking at Ted.

"I'm an accountant for Kinnetik," Ted said.

"I'm a party planner," Emmett said smiling.

"And you?" Charles asked as he looked towards Brian.

"Not much," the brunet said.

Ted rolled his eyes. "He's the owner of Kinnetik."

Brian narrowed his eyes at Ted.

"That's cool," Charles told him. "Do you like your job?"

Brian stared at the man but didn't answer. He bit his lower lip and ended up smirking. He got up grabbed his beer and finished it. He put it down and walked away.

"He is the ‘fuck-them-and-leave-them’ type of guy," Ted said. "I just thought I should warn you."

Charles nodded slowly before he got up and followed the brunet to the restroom. "Are you playing hard to get?" Charles asked while Brian was using one of the urinals.

The brunet looked at the man through the mirror. He finished what he was doing and arched a brow when he turned around.

Charles walked up to Brian. "You know, you and I could have a lot of fun."

Brian smirked at that and pushed Charles back into one of the stalls. He closed the door and smirked.

"What do you have in mind?" Charles asked.

The brunet didn't do much talking. He pushed Charles back into the wall and kissed him hard for a few seconds before he turned him around. "I'm going to fuck you now," the brunet told him.

Charles helped Brian push his pants down all the way to his ankles. Brian unzipped his pants and pushed them down to the middle of his thighs. Then he pulled out a condom from one of his pockets and put it on. He knew the moment he laid eyes on the man that he was going to fuck him. There had been no doubt in his mind. He prepared Charles quickly and soon enough he was inside the man fucking him like he said he was going to.

"Oh god yes," Charles started to yell after a while when Brian started fucking him harder.

The brunet held Charles in place by the hips. He closed his eyes concentrating on his pleasure. Soon enough both of them were reaching satisfaction. Brian waited a few seconds and then pulled out of the man. He took off the condom carefully and then threw it into the toilet. He then fixed his clothes.

"That was so good," Charles said pulling his pants up. "I think we can do better."

The brunet arched a brow. "Is that so?"

"Yes," the man said smiling. He tried to kiss the brunet but the man pulled back.

"I don't do anyone twice," Brian told him.

"Do you always pretend to be this tough," Charles said smirking. "You don't have to do that with me. I thought we could share some time together. We could go out and have fun. How about if we go out and have dinner?”

"I don't do dates," Brian told him. "Plus, I already fucked you. Are you not listening? I don’t do repeats."

Charles smile left his face. "No one has to know. We could be there for each other when we need to," the man said touching Brian's chest.

"I'm not interested," the brunet said pushing Charles back. Then he unlocked the door and stepped out.

Charles sighed and went out of the stall. He went to the sink and washed his face. He looked himself in the mirror and smiled. “It’s okay. He’s just playing hard to get,” he said to himself.

When he came out of the restroom Francis and Jesse were waiting for him.

"What happened?" Francis asked.

"Don't worry, I got this under control," Charles told them.

"The hell you do," Jesse said. "We saw Brian and he said he was leaving."

"Where is he going?" Charles asked.

Jesse shrugged.

Charles bit his lower lip. "He's complicated."

"Tell me about it," Jesse said as he turned around and went to the bar.

Francis smiled with sympathy at Charles before he too moved away. He thought they were going to have to come up with a better plan and guy if they were going to find someone that Brian was going to be interested in. It was going to be hard work.

***

Justin laughed as Brian bit him on the left hip. "Stop that, you know I'm ticklish there."

Brian bit him again and then stopped. He smiled at the blond. "I know you are."

"You're so mean," Justin told him.

"I am not," Brian said as he moved his body a bit up, half of him was lying on top of the younger man.

They just had sex and were enjoying each other's body. They kept touching each other, scratching each other and biting one another. Justin massaged Brian's shoulders a bit before he reached for the man's right nipple and pinched it.

"Hey," Brian said and smiled widely. "Stop it."

The blond showed him his tongue.

"You're like a kid," Brian pointed out.

The blond shrugged.

The older man smiled. He kissed Justin's tummy and then rubbed the blond's chest. "Your skin is so soft."

"Yeah?" Justin asked. "Yours is too," the man pointed out as he touched Brian. Then he ran his fingers through the man's hair. "How's work?"

"I'm doing okay," Brian told him. "If we keep going at the rate we are in a couple of years I might be able to open another office."

"Where do you plan on doing that?" Justin asked.

"New York, maybe," Brian told him. Then he shrugged knowing that it could be anywhere else too. At that moment New York was at the top of the list. "I always wanted to go to New York to live."

The blond smiled. "That would be cool."

"Don't you ever think about moving?" Brian asked. "You're an artist. New York would be like the perfect place for you."

"Yeah," Justin said. "But it's kind of hard to just pick up and leave everything behind. And so far I like teaching. Maybe in a few years, who knows what might happen."

Brian nodded and rested his head once again on Justin's chest. Justin played with the man's hair again.

"I'm throwing a party soon," Brian said out of the blue.

"What for?" Justin asked.

The brunet shook his head. "Nothing in specific," the man responded. "It's an orgy," the man whispered and smiled like a kid. "Only the hottest guys around."

Justin licked his lips. "Nice," he said.

"Are you going to come?" Brian asked and used his tongue in cheek expression. "Well, you know what I mean."

The blond smirked. He really didn't want to go. He knew it would be tough to take seeing Brian with other guys. But he didn't want to push the brunet away.

"Yeah," Justin whispered.

"Yeah," Brian told him with a grin as he looked at the blonde.

Justin moved his hand down and caressed Brian's face.

"You're so hot," Brian said as he moved up to be able to kiss the blond.

The shorter man opened his legs and Brian fell in between them. Justin grabbed Brian's face with both his hands as they kissed. His hips started to move on their own, pushing and pulling against Brian's hips.

"Someone is horny," Brian said when he pulled back. His hand ran down Justin's side and then he grabbed the blond's ass.

"Mmm," Justin moaned and then laughed. "I love it when you grab my ass like that."

"Mine," Brian growled over Justin's neck. "And I'm going to fuck you so hard."

Justin liked the sound of that very much. “Yes,” he moaned.

The brunet pulled back and smirked. "You're so easy."

"You love it," Justin told him. "Now fuck me," the blond told him.

Brian didn't waste any time. He didn't need to prepare the blond, Justin was ready for him. The blond helped him get a condom on and soon enough Brian was inside his man. Justin's body arched from the bed each time the brunet rubbed his prostate. Brian was amazed at how beautiful Justin looked. He kissed him on the cheek and the neck and held on to Justin's shoulder.

They rolled in bed so that Justin was on top. He was controlling the pace, a very slow one. It was torture for both of them and yet it was perfect. Justin had his hands on Brian's chest caressing him or pinching the man's nipples. Brian was gripping Justin's hips. He knew that they were pretty close. He started jerking the blond and Justin started to move faster.

"Oh Bri," Justin groaned as he shot his load all over Brian's hand and his lower abdomen.

"Yeah," Brian said as once again he took hold of Justin's hips. "Ride me."

Justin's walls were tight around the brunet. He was sensitive but he still rode Brian hard and fast until the man was cumming.

"Jesus," Brian said and smiled at the blond. "That was fucking great."

Justin moved away slowly. Brian wince only a bit. He looked down at his cock and then at the blond.

"Did I wear you out?" Justin asked.

Brian shook his head.

"I'm hungry," Justin told him.

"Seriously," Brian said moving up a bit and leaning on his elbows when Justin got up from bed.

"Yes," the blond said as he walked to the bathroom.

Brian got up and took the condom off. He tied it off and then walked after the blond. He threw the used condom in the trash and then stood behind Justin who was setting the water in the shower. He kissed the blond on the shoulder and Justin purred with contentment. They got into the shower and worked together in getting each other clean. When they were done Brian got them a towel each because Justin had forgotten. The brunet was getting more used to where everything was in Justin's house.

"What do you say we make some scrambled eggs with bacon and toasted bread," Justin said.

"It's like ten at night," Brian told him. "And you want to eat breakfast."

"Yes," Justin said smiling.

Brian shook his head and only put his jeans back on. Justin got on his pajama pants and they went to the kitchen. The brunet helped Justin get everything ready while complaining that he wasn't going to eat anything. The blond even made hot chocolate.

"Jesus," Brian said. "You're going to get so fat."

"That's okay, you can help me work it all off," Justin told him then he winked at the older man.

Brian smirked. "The chocolate is done," he said and grabbed the two cups. "I'm not drinking this."

"I know it's hard in your old age to eat food at this hour," the blond teased. "But you got to try."

Brian went after Justin. The blond opened his eyes wide and tried to run, but the older man was faster.

"You're not that much younger, Justin," Brian said and tickled him.

"Okay, okay," Justin said and got away.

The brunet went after him yet again. He grabbed him by the hand and then pushed him against the counter. Justin laughed and turned around to face the man. Brian had his hands on Justin's hips keeping him in place.

"What?" Justin asked smiling after Brian just stared at him.

"What?" Brian asked and smirked.

Justin grinned and the brunet kissed him a few times. Justin was in heaven.

"Oh shit," Justin said. "The eggs."

Brian chuckled and went back to the chocolate. Justin laughed as he stirred what he was cooking. He looked at Brian and smiled widely. He'd never been so happy in his life with another guy. He thought Brian was the greatest guy in the world. Brian looked at Justin and smiled a bit, as he thought that Justin was just plain wonderful. He loved spending time with the man. He wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

***

Jesse bit his lower lip as he watched Connor Smith. This was a guy that he'd met at school when he'd come to talk to them. He thought the man would be great for Brian because they were both in business. He sighed and hoped that it worked better than last time. He had told the man that Brian was complicated and Connor said he would give it a try.

"Hi," Connor said as he smiled at Brian. "Mind if I sit down?"

Brian looked up at the man but didn't answer.

Connor sat down. "I'm Connor Smith," he said. "I think I've seen you before?"

"Really?" Brian asked. "Where was that?"

Connor smirked. "You're smarter than that."

Brian licked his lips and leaned back.

"Brian Kinney," Connor said. "Owner of Kinnetik, before that you used to work for Ryder and then with Vance. I worked with Vance," Connor said shaking his head. "What an ass."

Brian raised his beer and they drank to that.

"Yeah," Jesse whispered to himself as he sat a few tables away.

Brian's back was to him and he couldn't see him.

"Do you come here a lot?" Connor asked.

"It's a good place," Brian told him. He actually felt comfortable talking to the man. He thought Connor was hot and for a brief moment saw himself fucking the guy.

"Do they always stare at you like they are about to eat you?" Connor asked.

Brian smirked. "They all want me."

"I see," Connor said realizing what Brian represented. "You're that guy."

Brian arched a brow.

"The guy that everyone wants to fuck," Connor said. "I used to be like that. I would fuck my way through the day and then some."

Brian licked his lips. "What happened?"

"Moved to a different city," the man replied. "Got a boyfriend,” he added. After his relationship ended, he still trick but not as much as before. He always felt like something was missing. His relationship with Andrew had changed him.

The brunet leaned forward in his chair.

"It didn't work out," the other brunet said shrugging. "Shit happens."

"That's why I don't believe in relationships," Brian told him.

"It was my fault," Connor said.

Brian looked down at his beer. He sighed and took a sip from it. "Still I bet that if you can do it all over again you wouldn't."

"I would," Connor said. "I think."

Brian and Connor laughed.

"This is good," Jesse said to himself. "They are actually talking. This is great,” he said to himself.

"Do you want to play some pool?" Connor asked. "I'll buy us some more beers."

Brian nodded and stood up. He went and set up the table and waited for Connor. The man came back and gave him a beer. They started playing. After three games in which Connor won two of them they called it quits. While they had been playing they talked about their work and things they heard about. Brian was actually having a good time with the man. In between the two of them they kept buying beers. When they were done they went back to sit down. This time Brian bought them something stronger. Meanwhile Jesse moved to a stood by the far end of the bar where he was sure that Brian couldn’t see him but he still could see what was going on.

"What are you doing here?" Francis asked when he saw his boyfriend at the end of the bar looking like he was trying to hide.

"Watching Connor and Brian," Jesse whispered.

"Why are you whispering?" Francis asked.

Jesse glared at him.

"Okay never mind," Francis said and sat down next to his boyfriend.

"So," Connor said. "Are you seeing anyone?"

Brian shrugged. "No," he said and ran his index finger over his lips. "Maybe," he answered.

The man raised a brow. "What is that?" Connor asked with a smirk and then drank from his drink. "You're not sure."

"It's complicated," Brian told him.

The man nodded. "Understandable," he replied remembering when it was with him the first time he started to have a serious relationship. "Well," he said looking at his watch. "I should get going," he said standing up.

Brian nodded. "It was nice talking to you."

Connor nodded and then left. When he was almost at the exit Jesse grabbed him by the arm.

"Where are you going?" Jesse asked. "It's going so great."

"I'm sorry kid," Connor said. "I know you're trying to get someone for him. I'm sure there is someone out there," the man said sure that Brian had someone by the way that the brunet had answered.

"But you guys were talking for the longest time," Jesse protested. "You don't like him?"

"He's hot," Connor assured him. "But Brian and I are too much alike."

Jesse frowned. "That should be a good thing."

"He likes being in control," the man pointed out. "So do I and he’s a top and so am I."

Jesse rolled his eyes.

"Look," Connor said. "He's a nice guy."

"You really think so?" Jesse asked.

"Yes," the man assured him. "I'm sure there will be someone out there for him. Why don't you let Brian find that person for himself?"

"Brian is always saying he doesn't believe in relationships," Jesse said and pouted. "Then he has one with my brother and that ended up horrendously."

Connor smirked. "Give it time. He's hot and successful and he has a good heart," he said as he patted the teen on the arm before walking away.

Jesse watched him go and then smiled. If a complete stranger could see how great Brian was there was still hope. He went to get Francis and they both went to where Brian was at the bar getting something to drink.

"Hey squirt," Brian said when Jesse stood next to him. "I didn't know you were here."

Jesse smiled. "Want to play some pool?"

"Sure," Brian told him. "You in, Francis?"

The redhead nodded. Jesse smiled and they walked to the pool table. He had to have faith that Brian would find someone that would love him just for who he was. He smiled knowing that it would happen for his friend. He briefly wondered if he should try to find someone else. Maybe Brian was bound to find someone but maybe he needed a little push too.
