This last weekend I participated in a 48 Hour Film Competition but on by my school. The challenge was to make a 1 to 5 minute film in 48 hours, from writing to shooting to editing. We also had a required genre, character, and prop. Mine were: disaster film, Mike Vang - farmer, and a suitcase. I'm relatively new to editing (only having done some packages for the school show), and this was my first actual film. There are definitely some errors (a boom mic in one scene, an arm in another, and Editing mentioned twice in the credits...), but overall I'm super proud of it. Please give her a go, and let me know what you think. :)
Summary: Mike Vang writes letters to his family after a deadly virus which has swept the nation takes them from him. (But there's a happy ending [or at least a hopeful one] - I promise!)

Bonus video: The Exchange, one of our competitors. This is my personal favorite of the six entries.

And because I'm just like that, I'd like to take a moment to explain the Special Thanks people in my vid, even though I know no one on here cares.
UWRF TV Services - the dept. on campus where I borrowed all the equipment from. Special special thanks to the guy who was there after hours and give us the stuff. We missed the deadline and we thought all hope was lost!
Croes Farm - where we did all of the filming but the cemetary. Owned by Marsha and Larry (the ones who played Marie and Mike. Also special, special thanks to Larry who was really shanghaied into helping. He said we could use the place and agreed to be in the movie, but he didn't know he would end up being the main character. He was such a trooper! ^_^
Scott Fouks - My dad, who put up with having my cast/crew trooping in and out of his house all weekend.
Axel Sustrom - Who was making his own 48 Hour Film but still managed to take the time to answer all my questions. Can we include copywrited music? How do we turn this video from fullscreen to widescreen after it was shot?? Thanks, man!
A HUGE thanks to everyone, and I can't wait for the competition next year!)
