The alarm in Sam’s motel room goes off at eight. He bangs on the wall until Dean crankily responds that he and Castiel are up. By the time they’ve finished sharing the shower, Sam is knocking on the door with coffee and a bag of donuts.
The three of them eat together sitting at the tiny table in Sam’s room, talking over whatever case they’ve got to work on for the day. Then they’re off, spending the morning researching, talking to witnesses, and arguing about whose turn it is to drive.
Around one they stop for lunch at a diner. Dean orders pie and plays footsie with Cas while Sam just sighs and looks annoyed. Afterward, there’s more research, then burning bones or stabbing something with a silver knife or whatever.
Night falls, and they stumble into yet another pair of rooms. Sam boots up his laptop and starts looking for another case while resolutely ignoring the telling sounds coming from the room next door.
