Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Sirius Black and James Potter
Prompt: 033. Too Much and 098. WC Betrayal
Word Count: 218
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: A little lingo is all. This is after Sirius tells Severus how to stop the Whomping Willow
“Damnit James!” Sirius yelped as James’ fist made contact with his face again. He stumbled backwards, his eyes blazing at his friend, “What are you doing? It was just a bloody joke!”
James’ eyes narrowed behind his glasses, “No it bloody was not! He could have DIED Sirius.”
Sirius smirked then spat out some blood, “So?”
James sighed, his jaw clenched as if he was trying to find the right words to say. He looked back up at Sirius, “Mate it could have been bad, really bad. As much as don’t like Snivellus I wouldn’t wish him dead.”
Sirius cocked a brow at him, “That’s not what you’ve said in the past MATE.” He reached up to touch his bloodied lip, “I’ve heard you say you wish Snivellus would just disappear. I was only trying to help.” He pulled his hand back down and then placed it into his robes.
James’ eyes widened as he pulled out his wand, “Expelliarmus!”
Sirius yelped as the handkerchief flew out of his hand, “Brilliant mate. You honestly think I would turn against you?” He snorted as he bent down to pick the small strip of fabric that remained, “You know, you are really a prat.” Sirius turned on his heel and headed up to the dormitory, leaving behind a cursing James.
Title: Brothers
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Sirius Black and Regulus Black
Prompt: 014. Black and 028. Children
Word Count: 205
Rating: G
Author's Notes: A meeting of the two after Regulus becomes a Death Eater.
They had played together as children. They had laughed at their parents, and make faces behind their backs. They had stood up for one another when Mrs. Black had yelled at them.
Now they stood facing each other, wands drawn, and faces set. The years had separated the brothers. They no longer knew who the other one was, and the emotions between them could not have been described.
Regulus shook his head, “You don’t understand brother.”
“No I don’t. Tell me why, Regulus. Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you now?” Sirius tried to hold back the tears that threatened to fall.
Regulus gave him a weak smile, “I can’t Sirius. I cannot tell you. Just trust me. Trust me as you did when we were younger.” He lowered his wand to his side, “Trust me brother.”
Sirius watched him warily as Regulus turned on his heel and fled. He dropped his wand to his side as his brother disappeared. He looked at the place where Regulus had stood, “May the gods have mercy on your soul brother and may they have mercy on both brothers of the House of Black.” A single hot tear slid down his cheek before he turned and walked away.
Title: Dueling
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Sirius Black and Bellatrix Lestrange
Prompt: 052. Fire
Word Count: 120
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Sirius and Bellatrix sometime during the first war.
Hexes lit up the night as they were fired carelessly by the dumbest of the Death Eaters. Sirius barked laughter at them, as he dodged their ill aimed curses.
He turned on his heel as one barely missed him from behind. He smirked, “Dearest cousin Bellatrix. I daresay it’s been too long.” He raised his wand.
Her lip curled up into a snarl, “Sirius, my prat of a cousin. Why didn’t you turn out like your brother? He’s never betrayed his family’s blood.” She raised her wand as well.
“My brother?” Sirius snorted, “He betrayed me. No matter, I shall be the only one worth something in the Black family.” Sirius smirked flicking his wand, sending out his first curse.
Title: Sweet Dreams
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Sirius Black and Remus Lupin
Prompt: 023. Lovers
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG-13
Author's Notes: Rating for implied sexual activites.
Sirius Black had known many lovers in his lifetime. He could remember each one of them vividly. He knew their names, the date they had ‘hooked’ up, and what exactly they had done.
He smiled as he looked over to the newest lover in his bed. Praying that maybe this one would be the love of his life, that maybe he would be that lucky. No, it would only be a fruitless wish.
Sirius leaned over, brushing graying brown hair off a smooth forehead. He pressed his soft lips to a salty tasting brow, “Sleep tight and sweet dreams Moony.”
Title: Lazy Days
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Sirius Black and Regulus Black
Prompt: 063. Summer and 099. WC History.
Word Count: 269
Rating: G
Author's Notes: The brothers during summer vacation.
Summer was always the hardest season for Sirius. The time spent away from his friends seemed like time wasted. Not to mention the dreary house he was stuck in during the best days of the summer vacation.
He sighed as he sat down on the couch in the drawing room. It was the only place he could sometimes get a little peace. His thoughts ran with all the things he could do to possibly get out of this house. Nothing seemed like a good idea. He looked up as the door to the drawing room creaked open, and Regulus stepped in.
Regulus smiled and nodded at his brother, “Sirius.” He walked over to a bookcase, pulling down a dusty volume of the family history.
Sirius raised a brow then smiled, “Regulus.” He watched his brother as he sat down across from him, “Why aren’t you outside playing with your Slytherin friends?” He smirked, hoping maybe this summer day might end with a little dueling.
Regulus looked up with a smile, “Brother, I don’t have time for petty things.” He looked back down, his eyes scanning over the large book.
Sirius’ jaw dropped, “Oh really? What’s so important to you? Why are you pouring over our family history then?”
Regulus shrugged, “Something to do. Plus I want to see who else in our family went to Gryffindor.”
Sirius looked horribly shocked at this, “Why?”
Regulus looked back up to him, smiling, “I want to know why you got placed in that house, and I didn’t.”
Sirius smirked then stood, ruffling his brother’s hair, “Because you’re an ugly git, that’s why.”
