Their prey dove back into the cave he'd just peeked out of.
Haldir glared at his brother. "For the last time, Rumil, we tag them, not announce their presence!"
"Tag? Last time I tried that, he nearly bit my finger off."
Haldir sighed. "We promised to play this game in exchange for mithril. You know this."
"But...they bite!"
Just then, Gimli ran up and gnawed on the back of Rumil's thigh. "Tastes like chicken!" he cackled, diving back into the cave, leaving a furious elf in his wake.
It was, Haldir thought, going to be a very long day.
