41. Peaceful
Ripp helped Ophelia as she climbed into bed. The bubble blowing had really knocked her out. It was always like that the first time you did it.
She smiled. "Thanks for helping me." She had completely forgotten about earlier that day, when he hadn't shown up to get the groceries with her. They had forgotten about the groceries too.
He was going to say something, but she had already fallen asleep. She looked peaceful and very beautiful. Nobody was watching him, so he kissed her cheek.
"Sweet dreams, Phi."
Then he went downstairs and ate a whole bag of chips.
